Lots to like going forward. And the assist was class with his weaker foot. Think Lamptey caused us more problems on that side than he did them though, tbf.
3 at the back with Reguilon + Lamptey as wing-backs would be brutal.

Any chance for a january sign/loan or will Brighton hold on to him for as long as possible? Curious to see how much he'd fetch for them in the summer if so

Never heard of him till this season but saw their first two games against Chelsea and Newcastle and he's a star in the making. Think I read Bayern were after him.

Yeah although Lamptey had far less defensive responsibility today than Reguilon playing as a wingback and one of their primary outlets, they also had so much of the ball. Reggie had to be more disciplined playing in a 4 and it seems we tell the fullbacks to stay back more once we're winning.

On the one-to-one comparison you're right, Lamptey had more license to attack in a different set up to what we had. I'm not criticizing him at all though - he's settled in right off the bat and has a bit of swagger and confidence in himself about him. Really pleased we got him and hope he's around for a long time to come.

We saw the best two young fullbacks in the PL in the Spurs v BHA game. Both should develop into top quality wide players.

@Real Madrid He's shit and worst LB in the world. Never activate his release clause please. Just leave him here and we will take care of him for 10 years

Great assist last night and not easy match for him having to deal with Lamptey and attacking wise Son wasn't a great help.

For the Bale goal and Kane the other week he did this weird thing where he looks up, almost as if trying to spot something, and then passes the ball from the side of the field towards the head of an attacker in the box. But not on the ground, in the air -- like an air pass across the field. Don't know what you would call it but I'm liking it a lot.

I'm tired of these foreign players bringing these outlandish things to the league. I almost throw the remote at the tv when he did that " aerial foot lob" pass thingamajig. Even had my little one asking what he just saw and I really had no answer. GIVE US BACK OUR OLD SPURS!

Actually, we currently have a former Chelsea academy RB's on our books. Marcel Lavinier plays for our u23's and might have been highly rated at one point. Probably not as good as James or Lamptey but looks like we're taking a chance on him.
