that's just woeful. clearly can't be just luck, he must be doing something wrong. either not warming up properly, or stretching regularly or something. no way that's random.
I dunno. It's an incredibly intensive sport - sometimes players' bodies just fail them.

Man, this kids body just keeps breaking. Poor guy. I genuinely want him to have a redemption story with us. I really want him to somehow make it with us, let's hope this surgery has fixed him to a certain extent that he can start trusting his body more and let him build during preseason.

At worst if he doesn't make it with us, I hope we can help him back on his feet and get him fit enough for a move elsewhere, so that he can get over this chapter of his life.

You think after all the troubles he's had he's half arsing his prep, and if he was the club physio's are allowing him to do so?

What a load of crap!
There are quite a few AFL players whose hamstrings just ping everytime they run.
Nothing to do with prep. Its just they just ping.
And yes it is just luck. His own luck sucks.

He's a professional footballer, desperate to play the game he loves. There's no way he's not doing everything he can to play but his body just keeps failing him.
He's also surrounded by a professional environment with experts trying their best to get him playing.

Sometimes this shit happens to players without the need to find something or someone to blame.

The only thing we should feel is sorry for the kid, this sort of attitude is not needed.

Pretty sure he does the same warm up and stretch as the rest.

I think it's genetic unfortunately, similar to Owen.

So gutted for him, really hope this surgery can fix the problem for good and he can concentrate on football again whether that's still at Spurs or elsewhere.

It will be best for both parties to let him leave and get a fresh start somewhere else.

He would barely get a game even if he was injury-free.

The kids mental health must be on a knife edge. We’re not a skint club, I say extend and get him out on loan and in the shop window until January 25

Why not just let him move on a free - where he can choose his own club to begin to resurrect his career?

By holding him on loan until January - we would be acting like a skint club...

Not sure I agree with you last sentence. In theory he has the skill set to suit Ange’s system. What let’s him down (at this point in time) is his long injury and subsequent lack of confidence.

Where would he play though?

He's definitely not got the skillset to be a winger in this system and I don't think he's a good enough ball carrier to be Udogie's understudy.

He's played his best football at LWB and I can't imagine us reverting to a back 5 anytime soon.
