Still looks unsure of his hamstring and didn't really try to break into a full sprint today. Not surprised by that and I'm hoping he can build his overall fitness in the next couple weeks.

Let's cut the boy some slack tonight. He was barely playing before the surgery and is now coming back from a huge and clearly difficult layoff.

I don't think he's up to scratch technically in general, but the only way we can tell is giving him time and letting him try and rediscover some form without judgement every time he plays.

He's definitely a LWF in this system. People forget that we spent the last few seasons trying to restrain him as a wingback. At Fulham he was a forward who'd arrive at the back post and score.

He's not great at carrying the ball or beating a man but he can stay wide and cross, he has pace and he can score

It's his first 10 minutes after about a decade out injured, of course he's going to be rusty. I'm glad he's back and want to see if Ange can unlock what we thought we were getting whenever it was that we signed him.

I agree he's not showing it in the prem but he's a better option as a LWF than a LB coming inside for us.
