Shipping out midfielders in Jan would be madness IMHO. Bissouma and Sarr will be away and Bentancur won’t be back. Trying to integrate someone new seems like a completely unnecessary risk.

Love PEH as a person and as a squad player but have to say we did look a lot better tonight without him and with Sarr and Deki as the n.o 8’s, just don’t think PEH suits this style of football particularly but fantastic pro and decent player who will have a host of top clubs queuing up for his signature if we look to move him on.

Playing hojbjerg is more madness. Surely we can get someone with a shred of composure and athleticism in January. He is so exposed in this system all his weaknesses are laid bare here. So much better without than with.

Yep I'd do the same.

Its not ideal for January but by February we should have all of Sarr, Bissouma and Bentacur back. At a push we can try Lo Celso deeper.

We really need to think mid to long term here.

Keeping him when we get a chance to sell may mean we can't shift him in the summer and we may struggle to add an extra player in there.

Sell whilst we can so we can address it.

We only have 2 PL fixtures though.

Also United's midfield is proper dog turd so we may not need to be at our very best
