Player Watch: Pierre-Emile Højbjerg

Meanwhile, in the Son thread. A guy who's maybe not in top form, but has been one of our very best players for the last 7 years.

Nothing like national bias to put your oh so pleasant point across. ?‍♂️
Oh coopsie.......

If you actual look at the post I have quoted it's much more than a player being poor.

I have no problem with people calling PEH poor or whatever is justified, because he has been for a few games.

So stick your national bias far up.

I'll still defend my view there, he's looked better with Bentancur but when Skippy is back he should be nowhere near the starting 11
Your view is that he is terrible and doesn’t have passion and wants to see him sold. See I think that’s very wrong. If anything PEH is as passionate as you get. Always gives 110% on the pitch, a real leader in there and sacrifices himself for the team, and he isn’t terrible.

Skippy isn’t better than PEH. Not sure why people actually believe in that, just because he’s injured. And not sure Conte sees it that way either, he hasn’t so far.

Skipp should be better and have time on his side though which is good.

Another thing is that we need another superb starting CM in the summer, I’m sure we all can agree on that.

Nothing about what he said is wrong. That Son has been poor and should be dropped for another player.

Compare that to people saying that Höjbjerg doesn't do anything and that he is at the level of Newcastle or similar where stats just tell a different story.

Who is the current superb CM you are referencing in you post?

It's a squad game, PEH is reliable and does a decent job when he plays.

You know he is going to give 110% every game and can be relied on.

Yes, there will be games where Skipp and Bentancur will be a better partnership, but other games we can play PEH and Bentancur or Skipp and PEH.

Not sure why it always has to be one player or another, what we could do with is a fourth reliable CM to compliment the 3 of them

You also said that: "He won’t be at the club next season , nowhere near the required level"

So which is it?
I presume we are talking about the same player that was dropped for Harry Winks a few weeks ago ? Yes he has had 2 decent games but he’s been bang average all season . If our level is 6th - 8th in the league then yes keep him but if we have any ambitions to fight for major honours he would be nothing more than a squad player at best. Like Harry winks , if he gets sold in the summer I won’t be crying too many tears .

From what I have seen so far Hojbjerg, Skipp and Bentancur can all do a good job in central midfield. I'm quite comfortable with any 2 of them starting.

I still think we need another midfielder. An athletic player who is quite comfortable on the ball would be good.

Dropped or rested? Other than missing the Liverpool game through injury, PEH has started every league game except for the game v Wolves when Winks started.

You crack on calling people names & proclaiming how much you hate them, just because they've voiced an opinion you don't like.

Did anyone call you a muppet for not rating Son? Or say that they hate you?

If that's how you like to roll in life, good luck.

People are saying such things about Skipp because of the results with him in the team, compared to those without.

I would also like to add that I've not actually derided Hojbjerg. Though I do personally believe Skipp is better.

I'm pretty sure I acknowledged that Son has been off form in my response to @WhiteDane ?

The ONLY thing I said he'd got wrong, was calling other SC members names, just because they have an opposing opinion to his own. All while happily downplaying the abilities of a guy who's been one of our best, and most important players for over 7 years.

I just think it's a shame. But I'll wind my neck in & leave people alone.

Just lol.

My post wasn’t even that serious, certainly not to the degree you’re trying to make it.

My post about Son is perfectly fine, and even you should see that. I even have him as my avatar and have 3 shirts with Son because I freaking love the guy. Doesn’t change that he has been poor recently.

The posters I quoted about PEH is well above belt height, mine about Son isn’t. You really should know better, as you’re trying to be the nice guy on here.

Yes you ackowledged it. But what Whitedane said about Son is nowhere near the ridiculous nonsense continually being spouted in this thread on a regular basis. PEH has consistently been a solid midfielder for us, but I might as well accept the opinion of the SC hivemind and expect him to be sold to the championship in the summer. As you were.
