No prob punting PEH including to a rival

Big prob making Harry M part of any deal

United must be shit because looking at their squad I don’t fancy anyone else in exchange apart from young Marcus 😊

We’ve had ITK saying Utd have offered us Maguire. No one has said that we’re interested or if he’s on our list of potential defenders that we’re interested in. Really not sure how you’ve come to the conclusion this is a Levy signing.
If the unlikely case this does happen would you say it was in Ange top 3 or 4 choices for CB?

Think it would be a mistake not to replace him if we sell him. Sarr is still very young to rely on and not convinced that Skipp is the level we need for anything other than short term cover.

I very much doubt we’d go for him due to our style of play but that’s my opinion. As I don’t know Ange personally and he hasn’t confided in me with who his preferred CB choices are, i can’t really comment on what he thinks. We had no ITK saying that Levy is driving this signing or that we will sign him, but we have had ITK suggesting that Ange has a say in who we sign. So let’s not make every thread about Levy

Selling Kane and Hojbjerg and not replacing either (nor buying any nailed-on starters to elevate us in another position) would be a fairly bizarre call. Ange doing a great job so far but he can't work miracles.

This to me, is how you do a rebuild. You have to create the space to allow some players to shine and to be able to strike in future windows when others are scrambling. It may leave us a little light but somee fringe may step up to the plate.

I support selling Hojbjerg for a decent fee. Would likely be another example of a player we keep around until his stock hits 0.

First choice midfield of JM-Biss-Sarr is looking well balanced. Let Gio and Skipp split the remaining minutes until Bentancur comes back (who I think can be an alternative to Biss at the 6 and we’ll need to take it slow with him and build his fitness levels back up anyways).

If Gio and/or Skipp can’t hit the levels required, flip them on the market next summer. We don’t need more than 6 midfielders but ideally all are able to slot into Ange’s midfield

I've a feeling we wont be able to get him out the door in time.

I'm sure I read or heard the other day somewhere that if he was sold it would help us land one of Ange's big targets but it wasnt revealed who that was.

calling on PEH both times the games got tough suggests not
Yeah - the way we play necessitates fresh legs at CM in the 60/70 minute range. With two of our starters headed to AFCON and who knows how long Bents will take to get back to 100% feels like we could really leave ourselves short in CM. Maybe we think Kulu could play there in a pinch?

If we do sell, we should be all over Amrabat or Redondo.

Isn’t the African Cup of Nations in January? That would give us time to settle a deal for a midfielder at start of Jan transfer window.

No problem selling PEH. We have Maddison, Lo Celso, Bissouma, Sarr, Skipp, and Bentancur returning with Kulu having the ability to slide into that 10 role if needed. 7 guys for 3 spots is plenty of depth without European football.

Does make me a little anxious, him going to a rival, and we end up a little short in midfield. Sorta depends on how close Bentancur is to returning.

It is but there is absolutely no chance Fulham let him go now and not for any money we'd want to pay
but you could have a revamped backline of Champions League final bench player Sanchez and starter Dier with a buy 2 get 1 free coupon earns you a Reguilon.

Who does he replace in Utds midfield? Casemiro, Fernandez, Eriksen or Mount? He’s likely to be a sub most of the season, maybe coming in for cup games. So doesn’t benefit them as much as some others think.

We have a bloated squad, it means we have to sell some players and not get in direct replacements. I think a midfield of Biss, Skipp, Sarr, Bents, Maddison, Lo Celso is adequate for our season. This is the time to sell PEH whilst he still holds some value. Having said that, if this is just speculation then we should rightly use him when we need as he does offer something the others don’t.

Could mix it up but especially away from home, think they'd go with Casimero and Hojbjerg with either Fernandes or Mount. They are in the CL so sure they'll all get game time but they have looked far too open in midfield without someone alongside Casimero to steady things.

Ange said himself if you want change you have to do something to make the change and not hope it just happens. I see selling Hojberg as proactively making that change and giving other players a chance. I have zero issues selling him to Man U and see the benefit of getting a decent fee for him from them.
