This is like knowing what you're getting for Christmas but you can't play with it.

Along with Parrott, Pape is probably the one I have most interest in following on loan. Hopefully it works out like it did for Dele and not like it did for Clarke.

An athletic midfield prospect, who looks good on the ball. Just hope he makes the step up over the coming seasons.

Metz currently winning 2-1, the google line ups have Sarr listed as playing left wing forward. Game isn’t on tv so can’t check, but he’s shown as in the Bergwijn position.

According to Whoscored he played 39 passes, 20 forwards, which was the most of any non defender for Metz. including the only through ball (also a key pass) off any of their players. He played one other key pass.

He attempted the most dribbles of any Metz player but was unsuccessful ask 3 times, and attempted 4 tackles, which was the most of any non defensive player again, succeeding twice.

Sarr also had 51 touches, again the most of any player outside of the defence, and was dispossessed twice, and turned over once.

Good work that man!

Haven’t seen much of him so far, Strasbourg have just gone 2-0 up through Habib Diallo who we were heavily linked to, I think last summer.

Not easy to make a judgement on him, he's made some good space a couple of times but his teammates never made use of him though however good or bad he is I can't see that he's getting much out of this loan as Metz are pretty dire.

Yeah Metz with plenty of possession but doing nothing with it. No knock on Sarr, Metz haven’t really got him the ball too often.

3-0 now, Diallo again, who I have to say, certainly knows how to finish.

Made some changes half time moved him to the right side of midfield, not wide, and he is seeing more of the ball. Actually looks good on the ball, doesn't rush anything but seems to have time and space, has played a couple of good passes over the top to the running striker very cool. He doesn't lose the ball and doesn't misplace his passes either which you can't say about any other Metz player, my God they're hopeless.

Didn't expect to be able to get an objective view on him tonight and after 30 minutes I'd given up hope of being able to come to any conclusion at all but second half he impressed me. I'm not saying he was a young superstar and he shone but it seemed to me he was the only Metz player who had a head on his shoulders, a few more like him and they'd have made a better fist of it.
Overall I'd say the potential we were told he has is definitely there and if he fulfills it he's going to be some player.

Starting today v psg on BT Sport. Might not touch the ball much, I watched Metz last week v Strasbourg and they are pretty terrible.
