Out of the many awful things that happened on Monday, VDV injury was the most awful of them, IMO. If he's not out for months I'll be thrilled and surprised. He's absolutely essential to how we play.

I'm afraid we're all going to be mentally ill if something isn't confirmed tomorrow.
Never mind mentally ill. I’ve been able to shit through the eye of needle since Monday night. I’m a bag of nerves. 😬

Walking on the leg from the pic, no brace/cast or even crutches. Highly doubtful its a Grade 3 then.

Yes - if he hasn't had the scan yet I would not expect strapping or a brace / cast - compression would not help pre scan, but I would expect crutches so that he doesn't put weight on it if it was considered a bad hamstring injury. Fingers crossed!

Agree.

I’ve strained my hamstring playing football a couple times and I couldn’t even walk for a few days after. The fact he is up, walking around, and at the training ground is good sign that it’s hopefully not mega bad. Obviously not expecting him to play on sat but back for the City match would be a bonus.

Not sure about the rest of you, but I've experienced a couple of cramps where it felt like something had gone doolally. In my upper hamstring and one of my calves. Both were while playing footie. And both hurt like the dickens. Thought I had torn something for sure.

It was very tight for a few days, but then with some stretching, it was fine.

I know I'm clutching at straws, but if the worse case scenario means he misses the next four games. Fine by me.

I'd already resigned myself that he was out for the season.
I get cramp in the calf quite a lot but only had it once in the hammy recently and fuck me, it hurt like blind buggery.
At the time, it probably hurt more than when I actually did my hammy after which I was able to walk with a limp for a while (I managed to walk home from the park, although painfully) before not being able to walk for a few days.

Yep suffered a grade 2 playing and was also in absolute agony, couldnt walk properly for days, at times a bit of a struggle to put weight on it.

Looked like a Grade 3 reaction from VDV but can be minor and still very painful. Wasnt Neto in agony and should be back in 2 weeks?

I'll tell you what, as worrying as the looming injury news is, the memes over the last few pages are absolutely top tier and had me laughing out loud for real. Love this place!

Must admit I don’t understand why we haven’t got a golf buggy pitchside to take off injured players, I couldn’t believe he was trying to walk off and then we carried him off with two physios!
I’m sure I remember those being used in World Cup 94
