I can't work out how he was one of these ultra skillful Brazilian kids who lots of big European clubs wanted, when in fact he can't pass a football 5 yards and his dribbling is basically him chasing after a series of his own heavy touches. The way he plays you'd think he was almost completely talentless.

I think Lucas Moura in his early years was just the best kid on the playground. He knew he was miles better than his peers and played like big fish in a small pond. Come to Europe and he became just one of many talented young players but the playing field even and as a consequence what you gain in experience you lose with natural flair.

63% passing accuracy today. Sunday league players can do better than that, embarrassing

Doubt his career average is much better. He also struggles to control any ball played into him that is either above knee-height or has any sort of pace - the ball then seems to bounce off him like a trampoline and him ending up on his arse for no explainable reason.

Complete liability to have a player that struggles that much with basic technique.

He’s a very average player who strung together a great run of games for the champions league. If he’d had his chance in the final, maybe he’d have been a cup winning legend who was generally pretty average like Allan Nielsen

Lucas is so bizarre: on the one hand his Spurs highlight reel is going to make him appear like the best winger in the league, some of his runs are genuinely world class. On the other he has to lead the PL in turnovers per minute, and his decision making/passing are so inconsistent.

Still though, he’s mustard against lower level sides especially in Europe.

All these performances are at worst keeping his value high or raising it. Think we should still look to replace him in the summer but I appreciate that he's giving his all at the moment.

Hopefully potential buyers only watch europa League football

He can do all these things very well. The problem is he's very inconsistent. He'll attempt 5 dribbles, four will be messy, but that one that is good is really good and makes you believe he has it in him to do it all the time. Same with his passing, he can play some very good clipped passes but more often than not he messes it up.

He's just one of those super talented players that is very individualistic but when fitting into a system he struggles for consistency.

Just the constant negativity. The guy had a cracking game, scored a cracking goal, and all people are worried about is his sell on value.

To be fair it was against the 6th place (I think) team in the Austrian league. He's been pretty awful against every decent opposition we've played for most of the last 2 years.
