He's a Spurs player now, so best of luck to the lad and let's hope he can regain his form and confidence

So that is now two players we have signed that have both impressed in their first interview. Both PEH & Hart have stated that its about the team, the squad, the togetherness required to push onto the next level. Having these sort of characters in the squad & at training every day is vitally important.

Interesting bit in the Hart interview is that he says that has often spoken to Jose when playing against his teams about football & the game in general. I find that interesting & again shows the correct attitude that Hart has.

Welcome Joe!

Put Hugo or Gazza in a West Ham or Torino defence and see how they fair. Hart is a model professional for the game and if he's in as a number two behind Hugo and if we sell Gazza then those two will be brilliant experience for any youth goalkeepers or young signings to work with. The experience and work ethic Hart will add to the dressing room will be great for team morale.

He talks very well to be fair. I can see why Jose wants him in, in whatever capacity.

Also nice to finally see a Shrewsbury boy at Spurs. I've lived in Shrewsbury for 20 years and he is very well thought of around the town.

Our defence was shocking last season and Hugo was magnificent

Hugo was great last season but post lockdown he barely had anything to do. Our defence has improved and will continue to improve. His form aside, we all know he is capable of a clanger or two.

Joe Hart is a Tottenham player. That feels odd

It is 2020
Jose Mourinho is the Tottenham coach
Joe Hart is a back up goalkeeper
No fans are allowed in our shiny new stadium

Honestly, who would have thought five years ago that our stadium is ready?

Welcome Joe! Can see why José wants him in the squad to be honest, comes across as a good lad for the dressing room and someone to push our other keepers.

Chelsea, United and City have all signed English keepers in recent years just to fill quotas. It's about time we did it and not waste 2 squad spots on players who probably won't play more than 5 or so games a season.

Happy to get him in, hopeful he keeps his head down, trains well and gets a run out and puts in a good performance.

Never imagined all this in the summer of 2019 after the CL final!

Fortunately Mourinho isn’t as obsessed with keepers playing out from the back as his contemporaries are

Neither were the England managers. It just annoyed me that for the simplest of kicks he’d just whack it up field and give it straight back to the other team. I bet if I look through the England thread for old matches he plays in that I’ll find myself moaning about it!?

At the end of his interview, Joe said "the sky's the limit". I think both he and Jose spoke a bit during their punditry stint at Sky and that probably gave Jose the confidence to sign him.

He's a winner and we need more of those in the squad. Yeah he's had a tough few years but having Mourinho's backing and a fresh start will hopefully get the best out of him again.

Tranmissarini (sp??), Gilberto, postiga, Moussa Saib, Andy Fucking Booth all showed more quality for us than Gazza??
What I said is that he is bad enough to play for us in the dark times of the late 90s.
