He needed this loan so badly, hopefully it has stopped the free fall that his career was in. Don’t see him making at Tottenham now but hopefully will get him a permanent move.

Sent off today in the 85th minute for an off the ball clash!.
Shame he blotted his copybook as it’s been a successful loan for him.
Be interesting to see what happens to him next season….

Don't worry too much, his crime was basically getting punched in the face. The ref just realised there was an incident so sent both off. Tanganga's red will get overturned no question.

Weird one. Looks like he was talking to the bloke's teammate and pointing something out, and he just goes off on him. Even then he could have left it at handbags rather than trying to punch him in the face.

By all accounts got his song sung by the stadium after the game so they seem pretty happy with how he's done for them. Fair play to him.

Colleague at work is a Millwall fan - says he’s been very good, probably found his level. Millwall would like to keep him but generally speaking if the player is good enough for them to want to keep, someone else will come in with a better offer.

Good on Japhet, got his career going and we might get a little money too

I wonder whether, given how badly his Ausburg loan had gone, we agreed quite a generous option. Wouldn't surprise me.

I do hope so. One of those where the player has been with us so long now that you just have to hope we do right by him. The way things have panned out the last few years have done him no favours at all and he deserves to move on with the least possible drama to somewhere he wants to be, Millwall or otherwise

God I hate that kind of refereeing. He clearly didn’t have a clue what happened between the two players, so decided he’d punish them both. Usually when a ref fucks up like this he only books them though.

Japh like Scarlett and others seemed to spend far too long training at the club rather than out playing football, whilst I can seen some benefits to that approach I think it's set a lot of the youngsters back IMHO

Hopefully this is the start of the mass clear out . Ridiculous amount of players out on loan and that’s before you take into account some of the dross we still have here .

We have a whole new set up now . Recruitment team , advisors. Scouting system etc…

im expecting a busy summer and getting as many players we can off our books will definitely help with the transfer budget .

let’s be honest we are at least 5-6 quality additions short

There was a documentary that he featured in a couple of years ago about deadline day when we basically held him hostage and denied him a loan to Inter and AC Milan, just to keep him as HG squad fodder. The way we’ve handled his career has been appalling. By my count he has only 65 pro appearances to his name at 25 years old, which is astonishing.

I’d like to interpret this news as a gesture of good will that we’re willing to bite the bullet and get this deal done early as we could have easily dragged this out and engineered a bidding war after such a successful loan spell. IMO he could do a lot better than Millwall, whether that’s in the Championship, PL or abroad - but at least the choice is his now. This is probably the first time in his career that he’s had that. Good luck to him.

Not many players can say that they managed to pocket Ronaldo, Grealish, Mane, Sterling in their careers. Shame that rest of his game never improved, mainly his passing. Our coaches didn't really seem to know if he was better as RB or CB and he played for us in some poorly balanced teams. Wish him luck in any case, another good season in Championship and then who knows?
