Hope it works for him. Millwall are doing alright in a tough league and there's some decent players in that league.

But will he get a game? Because that Augsburg loan was a complete waste of half a season in his development.

He’s 25 in March. How much more developing do you think he’s going to do at this age? Whatever loan deals he’s getting now are simply to get him off the books.

It's a very fair point and I don't really think he'll make it for us.

I suppose there's an argument that defenders can develop later.

But yeah...I think he may be dropping down to his level now.

Realistically I think he’ll be lucky to end up at a club as high as Millwall permanently. Unfortunately he’s just far too injury prone. You can get away with that if you’re top class like Ledley King or Jonathan Woodgate. But if your career has been held back by injury before you’ve had a chance to develop as a player, the who’s going to give you a contract.

Lower league sides can’t afford the luxury of playing someone to be on the sidelines.

Fair play the first few pages of this thread are funny.

"Why the fek were we after Saliba when we had Tanganga in the ranks, it doesn't make any sense?"

"He's been just as impressive this pre-season as Parrott imo."

We had high hopes in 2019.

:ROFLMAO:

Been unlucky with injuries to be fair to him.

Really hope he can get his career on track. A decent half season at Millwall would be a good first step.

It's like a couple of our youngsters we've had over the years... seems like there's potential and glimpses at one stage but ultimately just hasn't worked out.

I think with a lot of them, they just need to be playing regularly to properly be able to develop or find their level. I can't remember him ever really having that. And that's not to say we should have played him but just for his career at least... feels like he needs that so hopefully he can get that at Millwall.

He's barely played any football so regular games in a team competing for something will surely help him achieve some form of his potential.

He won't make it with us but hopefully can at least forge a career.

I still think he's got premier league level talent. You don't perform the way he did against Liverpool and man city through luck. The Luton move would have been a very good option for him. As others have said the injuries have hampered him

It's great the club recognise when a loan is working out though. He may not be part of our plans but we could have just left him. At least we're looking out for one of our academy lads and getting another move for him. Hopefully he does better with this one. It would be nice to see him over his injuries and doing well.

My Dad keeps an eye on Millwall and watched the game. Said Millwall were shit all game and Tanganga didn't make much difference. Positive guy though 😂. To be fair these must be his first competitive minutes in best part of a year.
