Both were schooled and had their first playing experiences in the Argentinian league, which has no room for slackers. The defensive stats are key for me, awesome to have that tenacity in the front 4. Similar to Lamela in that sense.

Reminds me a little of Lamela. Has the same grit, the same fight. Is silky on the ball and can spot a pass. Drifts out wide, especially to the right. The similarities are there.
I adore Lamela's panache, so Lo Celso looks like he might be right up my street after what he showed us today.
I agree with much of this but for one thing, I sincerely hope he does not end up with Lamela's injury record over the next 4 -5 years !Reminds me a little of Lamela. I get where people are coming from with the must start Saturday comments, but let’s remember this is first start in months, he has hardly any minutes under his belt, and there were times in the game where he was seriously blowing. Reality is he probably won’t start, but that’s not the end of the world. The positive he’s ready now, and he looks like he’s going to fit in perfectly.
Somebody needs to have a word with him. Two corners and he didn't hit the first defender with either one. And I'm sure I saw him tracking back in the second half. He just won't fit in. Gotta go.
I did like the way he was telling other players where to go, only 23 but acting like an experienced pro, bodes well for the future.
All in the details...I think we all need to be patient. He scored a lovely goal last night with great control that allowed him to get the finish away, but aside from that I didn’t see anything game changing from him. What am I missing that others saw last night? (Genuine question)
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not slating him, I just think we should all temper our expectations until he is properly settled.
For me is was the quick (often correct) decisions, instant ball control and umpteen slide rule passes to put other players into great positions to make something happen, particularly Foyth.I think we all need to be patient. ————————GazzaA front four of Son, Dele, Lo Celso and Kane sounds great. Dier and Ndombele behind, attacking full backs and things are looking good again.
I'd still start with him on Saturday even if it meant 50 or 60 minutes for him. I'd rather that than hanging around waiting for Eriksen to do something which will almost certainly be the alternative. That way he gets as much time on the pitch as he can manage and gets his match fitness up.
