Wrong on this one FYI bud, NewsCorp own Talksport, Sky owned by Comcast and have no Murdoch involvement.

You are right. I remember a Liverpool supporting host quitting when they were brought out over the Liverpool sun newspaper thing. Thought it was to do with sky for some reason??

I honestly think it will be more than a year loan. It just feels a bit like the type of deal we did with Lo Celso. I think there's some creative work done to get Bale paid what Madrid owe him for the 2 remaining years while not upsetting our own wage structure.

I’m a bit disappointed by a loan, hope it’s got an obligation/option to buy.

If he turns out amazing, we’ll struggle to get him back next year.

Video of Gazza striking a golf ball and puts another dent in the cockerel. Bale steps in and says that's not how it's done. Takes a swing at the ball and knocks over a cup which spills onto Jose's trainers. Aurier steps in and says that's not how it's done. Then fucks off to Milan.

Maybe pans to Lamela making a zoom call ,and seeing all chat the players bought with the Bale money and him saying - guess who I was training with!

Or Ndobombele nicking chocolate bars from Dele's locker and you see a hand grabbing him and see its Bale, saying ,now I'm back things round here are going to change!

Hypothetical: Zidane sacked, Poch takes over, doen't extend our 1 year loan and recalls Bale, also buys Kane.

Is that Sol territory? :p

Has to be IMO. A 1 year loan doesn't really benefit Madrid or Bale that much. He won't be going back to Madrid that's for sure.

Disagree, he is desperate to come back here.

If he has a great year that likely means the club have progressed, therefore he'll want to stay.

This isn't a move for him to get back on track, it's a move for him to be where he feels he belongs and enjoy his football again whilst having success hopefully

What do we reckon on the announcement video?

I'm thinking Kane sinks a birdie putt, cut to a impressed looking Bale marking the scorecard. Mourinho is caddying

Golf ball in the shape of Zidane's face, Bale leathers it onto the green, putt completed by Harry Kane, Serge Aurier spits on the ball and walks away in disgust while Bergwijn performs the mask celebration with Jose screaming the C word repeatedly.

Announcement vids now seem to be more than just letting people know this club have signed this player. It's about getting as much publicity traction as possible. Sky was just the other day Auba's recontract signing was swiftly eclipsed by news of Bale.

Now that Pool are getting Thiago, I reckon we will wait for the most opportune moment to announce Bale to avoid getting overshadowed by the their announcement of Thiago.

Already the Thiago news is the trending one now.
