Basketball and tennis.
I'm not American and couldn't give a fig about basketball but even my kids know who Kobe is.
Serena is possibly the greatest female tennis player ever. I don't know what it's like over where you are (Norway?) but you can't avoid sporting giants over here, whatever their sport.
Also, Kobe was all over the news (and social media) not that long ago as he died in a helicopter crash.

The two you mention must either be skiers or rally drivers? ??
To be fair though, sports like skiing have a very small global appeal due to not many countries have representatives.
