Why do we seem to target players that don't want to play for us? and at clubs that don't want to sell?

Nah not for me.

Sound like on of those dull, American, oversized sedan cars.

Her..."Ooooh...let's take the Emerson Royal for a spin".

Him..."Feck off Barb".

Why do we keep targeting players who don’t want to sign for us?

What a complete waste of fucking time. Torres, Kounde and now this guy. ??

Yeah, happens too often for me too. All a bit weird. Get Tommy in. Wants to come, can play RB and CB, can't leave us short there.

The reality is, it's been so uneventful this window that these journos are probably taking a 3 hour window of activity and spreading it across 2 weeks of tweeting.

Imagining a bit of dialogue like this:
"Hi - is Emerson Royal interested in a move?"
"We'll reach out and ask..."
"No - he wants to stay and play for Barca"
"No worries"

Then they just turn it into a saga - otherwise, it's barely worth anything as a story.

Tomiyasu coming in will make me so happy now. I think his versatility could sort of be too underrated. Our signings this window have all been eager to sign and play for the shirt. He can be most probably another one.

Where did you get the idea that Barcelona don't want to sell, have I missed something as everything I've seen says it was Barca that initiated discussions.
As for the players I guess we're targeting players we think are good enough for us now, I suppose we could bring in a bunch of kids from Nottingham Forest I'm sure they'd want to play for us but I'm not in favour.

Because they are the players that improve our team/squad.

Edit: also the transfers where the players want to come and the clubs want to sell are already complete.

How about targeting players that want to play for us? Because without that it's completely pointless.

I saw a Spanish article saying they don't want to sell and if they do only for a huge offer. Not seen anywhere say they initiated it.

There are players that want to play for us that will improve us we could go for.

No point in getting vexed about it. I say fuck 'em and move on. It's their loss not ours.

Absolutely believe this. Kane saga (and others) exposed a lot of football journalism for what it is. A bunch of spin and sometimes downright lies for clicks, which even the most sceptical of us can get drawn in to lapping up.

Ok, but also, how do you know if they want to play for us without, like, asking them/their agents?

The story has come from a bloke with 6000 followers.

Had similar stories about Romero earlier in the window. Let's see, he may well want stay but it might not be an option for him.

How else do you expect us to say we tried, it was complicated, we didn’t have enough time or it’s not an easy market?
