A fact you've missed is that one plays in a league that is much much harder than the other.
Yep, those same stats could be turned on their head - Spence could only manage 2 assists more over a much longer season (Spence was able to play 13 more games) against poorer opponents.

I guess neither tells the full story, and we are fully paying for potential here, not the finished product. It's a gamble, not a sure fire home run. Hope I'm wrong, more than happily eat my words, but I don't see how we've got to ranking him one of the best RWB prospects out there.

It has got the feel of a world cup signing, he played well on 2 games on TV against PL opposition, so is on the radar. Hell Tanganga bossed Liverpool (iirc) in one game at RB.

Not advocating for KWP, as not overly convinced by either, but he would likely by one of the standout players in the EFL if he played for Forest last year. I'm sure Doherty would've torn it up also - Doc had 4 assists and 2 goals last year, and had an awful season according to most, for example. It's not a great benchmark.

Starting either at RWB doesn't seem to be a real difference to Spence to me, though KWP would be club trained I suppose. I guess I just don't see the hype? I think is he was signing for anyone else, we wouldn't really be batting an eyelid, but as he's coming here, we are turning him into a young Cafu, a bit.

Hope this gets our other business moving again now we know our HG situation. Still need a top creative option and another CB imo.

Should have plenty of money given we’ve spent 15m total on the 3 new defenders, got Bissouma for the likely price of Winks and sold Bergwijn for good money to help fund Richarlison.

Indeed I was never overly keen on the player because there are better out there imo. That said I now understand why we have kept on it, and it now makes a lot of sense. Anyway as much as I wasn't keen it looks like it's pretty close(Caveat Gibson) so lets hope he can make the step up. (y)

If you listened to his latest report you would find that he's very close to the club and as anyone regarding ITK.

Yeah I find it quite weird how people doubt him. He does a good job keeping us informed. If fans listened to his whole broadcast rather than snippets on aggregators then they’d realise he usually quantifies what he says as he had to explain in his tweet just now. He also says it is still not completed though with Romano following suit.

Great bit of info the other day with the random meeting itk too.

Anyway, the player better be good now.

Assists is not a great metric - chances created is much better - strikers turn 'chances' into 'assists' by scoring goals, if a striker misses an open goal from a superb chance created, the creator doesn't get an assist.

Think everyone needs to chill. We’ve been here before about four times with this transfer. Odds are that the goalposts get moved yet again imo.

I like how in Romano's world, done and completed are two different things

Also that he feels it's even useful to say it's not completed. Obviously, Romano, because if it was complete they'd announce it and we'd all know.

About as useful as my declaring on Twitter that we haven't signed Messi yet.
