Good BBC video, Dane comes across really well. Harry Kane is absolutely the best role model any kid could have - bar no-one - so Dane is very lucky.

I do feel the club want to hype him because it's good PR, HOWEVER there must be substance and they must believe it. We haven't seen what his qualities are yet but hopefully he'll get a chance. Can't wait. There's nothing better than a homegrown star.

Great to hear, I think a loan to a League One club next year will be hugely beneficial for him.

That takes him up to 22. I suppose by then we'll know if he's the real deal or not.

Also good that he can't be taken by an overseas club as a free out of contract player like we've seen with a lot of promising young talents.

Great news. Everyone at the club speaks so highly of him, it's a great show of confidence in his ability that we've given him a 4 year deal.

With CL football next season hopefully we can find him a really good loan club.

Edit: Just realised he will be playing in the U19 Euros this summer. He could really make waves in that tournament so it's good sense by the club to secure his future.

Wouldn't mind him replacing Parrott at MK Dons next season, why not send him and Devine there.

I like that idea. Ordinarily I'd say 17 is too early for a loan but he is playing above his age in terms of maturity and ability, imo.

Having said that he does turn 18 in August.

With us securing CL, I'd actually like us to make a run in the UEFA Youth league with Devine and Scarlett. Seeing how both fare against other top European teams would be great. Plus, they stand a chance of featuring in cup games with the 5 subs rule next season.

In all honesty, we should be aiming for a loan much higher up than League one. I know the championship didn't work out for Parrott, but League one almost didn't work out for Parrott either. He turned it around with experience, mentality and a manager finding a position where he could be effective. But there is no reason to fear that happening every time.

Scarlett has the talent to be an option for us as early as 2023 and definitely in two seasons' time. A Championship loan will more likely prepare him for that, if it isn't working out we can always recall him. But if you believe in what Conte and Mourinho have said about him I would rather start high and move down not visa versa.

Yeah, it does depend on personality outside too. The same applies to Scarlett. These are children you're talking about and what they respond well to may not be loaning them too far from home, or even at all. Ultimately, at the club itself, we can manage their development in a much more personalised fashion than when they are out on loan.

Hopefully we’ll be looking at getting him a loan at a suitable club for next season now. He needs to get some first team football under his belt and start bagging goals. It’s not going to do him any favours sitting on our bench for another year.

Game time at a competitive league one side is more valuable than a bit part role at any championship side.

It's about growing up as a person as well as on-pitch performance.
Learning to handle the pressure and personalities in a new environment.
Also to stay injury-free.
