Do you two need a timeout?

I do. I can’t compete with all the super Mourinho fans who constantly bang on about how shit our fans are while slagging off a player who’s captained us many times, playing through pain but they’re brilliant fans ya know. Mourinho FC.

Oooh cool, are we all piling on Davies now? Aces.

It's sad how some people seem to enjoy slagging off our players. There's no need to gloat after someone has a bad game.
He's a decent back up left back. I can think several positions where we should spend our budget before worrying about upgrading him.

He was terrible numerous times on the ball against both Brighton and Chelsea. The same level of criticism the likes of Sanchez and Dier have been singled out for.

There is a difference isn't there - in short he has been shit, for a better word poor, rubbish in some cases.

I've always found people on this site tell me countless times it's okay to be critical when someone has been poor.

Thing is, it's now become a thing that this only applies when the masses are all in agreement that it's that threads turn. Then people have to explain why they are going against the general consensus when the player in question is (imo in this instance) taking some criticism ...

It's absurd on here lately.

Hahaha, I am most definitely not him but I do know he looks online at the forums.

Well by whatever means you can get the message to him that looking at what us morons say on forums is absolutely stupid of him and he doesn't need that shit on his mind.

As footballers go, if social media isn't bad enough for a players mental health going on to random forums would be one of the last things I'd do. Surely newspapers and poorly paid pundits would be enough.

I know I wish I elaborated more just how terrible an idea going on forums is for your mental health if you're involved. First of all it already indicates a sense of low self esteem to be worrying about what fans are thinking and then the shit that is wrote on here fuck me, that would make you overthink.

Ben has always come across as an intelligent guy and I wouldn't be shocked if he is susceptible to overthinking and anxiety from that so going on forums is the absolute last thing for him imo.

Agree with the wider point of the post and the bit in bold I think that should go for any player.

I've got no problem with people being critical, but that doesn't mean they get to post any old nonsense without being called out.

Watching Sterling put him in his face in the second half today was embarrassing he is lucky Sanchez outdid his effort! Reggie missing has highlighted just how poor he is

Shame how far he has fallen this season. He was always a steady and reliable player in previous seasons and some of our best football under Poch happened with him in the team. He may not have been more than a 7/10 in those days but at least he was a 7.

Major downgrade when regulion is out. All he does when he gets the ball is hit the ball over the top down the wing. Championship player at best

Anyone with half decent pace will mug him off in one on one situations. Never been a fan and previously said can live with him in the squad but honestly, think I'd rather have a younger option competing with Reguilon. Interesting to see how Sessegnon does next season. Maybe in a position where we can have Reguilon and Sessegnon covering LB/LWB and also have Cirkin in and around the first team.

Just getting bored of players like Davies who have hardly improved since they arrived and whose technical ability isn't up to it. He isn't the only one in the squad that applies to. Would sell him in the summer tbh to raise whatever we can.

Another player that was decent a few years ago but no where near the required level to even be 'back up' he ends up still play more than most players and that's not good enough. Davies shouldn't really be playing Prem games but we tend to cling on players and only realise they are not good enough when they are on their last legs.

Our squad players is everything wrong at Spurs. Laughable when people call him reliable. The guy is one of the easiest LB's to play against and constantly gets caught out of position, offers next to nothing going forward and is not confident in possession.

I put him in the same category as Winks and Dier. Good players around 2017 but no where near the required standard these days.
