Interesting article from the daily mail (there's a sentence I never thought I'd use!) from Martin Samuel. Basically Parma have 226 players under contract NOT including academy players. The article also refers to Chelsea and udinese doing a similar scattergun approach and loaning players out en masse. Everyone knows about watford and udinese last year there is also a similar deal between Chelsea and vitesse Arnhem and I suppose us and Swindon now.
I think the article makes some good points and there needs to be a change in the system to control this as well as giving Lots of young players false hope it is also giving teams a false advantage that loan 5,6,7,8 etc players from one club.
What do you reckon leave the system as it is or change it (any ideas??) ?
