Tottenham director of football Fabio Paratici is eyeing up two youngsters in Italy’s Serie B as he continues to build at the club.

That’s according to Serie B News, who cover Tottenham’s interest in Radu Dragusin and Morten Frendrup.

Radu Dragusin:
20-year-old right-footed CB.
Juventus player, but on loan at Genoa (Serie B) for the season. It appears that he struggled to hold down a starting spot during two Serie A loan spells last season, so
21 appearances in Serie A and 1 cap for Romania.

Morten Frendrup:
21-year-old CM / CDM.
Played a fair bit for Brondby in the top tier of Danish football, then joined Genoa last January. He quickly became a regular starter and has played every match this season.
11 caps for Denmark U21s, but uncapped for the senior team.

Genoa are currently competing for promotion to Serie A, after getting relegated last season. They are therefore likely to be reluctant to sell any key players mid-season, and perhaps these youngsters would be content to see what division Genoa is in come the summer before making any big decisions.

From their appearance stats and the teams / leagues they compete in, they're probably at a similar stage in their developments to White and Tanganga. These players certainly don't excite me as much as the young strikers we're reportedly scouting.

If we're going after this type of player, they should at the very least be HG. Is Dragusin likely to be better than Fagan-Walcott for example, or Frendrup be any better than White or Devine?

If they have huge potential then I'm not fussed where they're from. The British system just doesn't seem to produce CBs or DMs who are good on the ball so if we can get them in early from abroad so be it.

It's important to continually build for the future and spot emerging talents on a separate budget. That being said we must sort out the current starting 11 we all currently know is not good enough.

There's a reason I've heard that our academy is in chaos with players looking to get out left right and centre...
