Can someone give me a perspective on why it should be Enrique over Ange?

Not seeing it myself but I'm hardly an expert on either.

Of all our realistic targets I think Postecoglou feels like the best fit.
Just feel that there's more opportunities around Enrique. Big name, well known around Europe, progressive attacking style, tactically impressive. Would immediately change our play, and bring the likes of Bryan fully into the team. Would make us attractive to some Spanish targets. Much less of a risk in my view than Ange for all the reasons people have outlined about him. Also, he seems like a nice guy, and regardless of the players he had at Barca, you don't get higher pressure in clubs than at Barca/Madrid and he's their most successful/best manager in recent times after Pep. Think we'd be lucky to land him.

I suspect that there are many who are still holding out for the JN/Ralph or Ralph disciple. Yet at the same time, they/we are cautiously optimistic if Ange is announced. He does have many of the characteristics you would want even if his resume isn't as strong as you would hope. One would think that under his offense, Harry would reach the Shearer level quickly and that may be enough to entice him to commit for more than a year.

So I'm just a simple country lad who's a bit confused by all this. Could anyone please confirm that we don't want the manager of a club who have won their league 11 times in twelve seasons because the manager of a club who have won their league 11 times in twelve seasons has been sacked and is available. :cautious::LOL:

I’m actually honestly pretty optimistic about Ange tbh, he’s a likeable bloke which is more than we’ve had in the last four years.

His team plays attractive football.

More than anything though I get a good gut feeling about him, he seems the type to galvanise a squad that’s underperforming, put an arm round a shoulder and squeeze all the effort out of players, and much more needed he seems the type that will ship out some of our lazy, uninterested, stealing a living types.

Sure, Scotland, terrible league. I just feel like if you look at him as a person though, he has the qualities required.

Let’s just get some actual positivity about the place for the first time four years.
