No actually enic have actually increased expectations. Yes we have not won trophies but in the last 15 years we have finished in the top 6 a lot.. I don’t know the stats. But Harry had us top 5 for 3 seasons. So actually they have delivered its just not what people want

They recovered expectations after the Sugar years.

They took one of the traditional big 5 clubs and fan bases of the previous century, and made it big 5 again.

They did nothing then??

You said ENIC raised expectations.

They did from the previous 8 years after Venables left in 93.

But we've always been one of the best supported teams in the country, even under Christian Gross.

The skill and strategy of rebuilding the club and infrastructure obviously deserves credit.

But it's a selective and undeserved narrative to believe we owe everything to ENIC.

They owe everything to us.

I hate saying this but I want us to lose next three games so mason doesn’t get it
I want Mason to win the next 3 games, then continue winning every game we play next season. If we play poorly in the last 3 games then fair enough he might not be up to it, but wanting that to happen is silly.

Nothing against Mason but he would be a rather underwhelming appointment when one considers the other options that are available…

Another thing to consider if Mason is appointed is the fact that he may not have the status or reputation to attract potential signings…

Because the fans don't deserve to be spun when they're paying £60-100 to be regularly embarassed.

Fans want accountability, clarity, and communication at what on earth we've been playing at for the past 4 years.

Not spin and bullshit.

This is Tottenham Hotspur, not the Tory party.
The trouble is Levy could come out and say something and none of you believe it anyways. "PR spin".

I am not saying you are not allowed to want those things, but there is so much anger here. That's my point. One name drops out and all of a sudden IT'S THE END OF THE WORLD.

You all react to negative news in a ridiculous way to me. Any positive news you'll find an angle to make it negative or just are not bothered.

I'm also sick and tired of seeing some being labelled this or that because they say a good thing about Mason (or Levy). It's tiresome. Some have to keep bringing up a Levy fan club. Some have to keep saying you must want Mason over everyone else, because you say one positive thing about him.

I'm just tired of the over the top unnecessary reactions to things on here I guess. People keep saying they're done with the club, but I know you'll be keeping tabs on the game v Vila and the manager/DOF search.

Rant over.

Difficult to comprehend what the club were hoping to achieve from this press briefing.

I really am at the point where I’m losing the enthusiasm to even give a fuck.
Truthfully...when the midget fired JM days before a Cup Final...... that's when I honestly lost my natural enthusiasm for everything Tottenham Hotspur...(was very difficult to write/admit that).

I don't want Levy gone but I don't want him making any footballing decisions. Keep him around to get more revenue using his very creative mind...........London's largest ice skating ring next!.

Clearly I'm no fan of Levy but before we get the noose out, let's be certain that it's Levy (the board) who has decided against JN. It could be that JN is not interested in joining Spurs. Guys lets be honest here, we may be an attractive club (best stadium and training facilities) but the last few years have made us look like a total mess! From appointing a DOF with a pending charge to hiring Nuno and then Conte spilling the beans (the truth) about the club's hierarchy..............we really do appear to be in a mess. I think Mason is a great servant of the club and is a true Spurs man but going by the last few years, I would not wish this mess on him.
If Mason is appointed, he will need a very strong DOF as I can't see him being able to handle Levy.
I've been "Levy out" on the football side and "Levy in" on the business side too. It's too early to say whether he screwed this up or not but from the outside looking in, the trend is not looking favorable. Many, including yours truly, keep giving him second chances thinking he is a smart man and has to have learned his lessons but if this appointment goes tits up, i'm Levy out of everything. To be fair, it will take 5-10 games minimum to see if the ship has been righted. I've admired what he has done for the club and in fact in bit of awe from a business perspective but enough is enough. Get it right or get going.

Really no surprises there, Nagelsmann’s demands re DoF, transfers and wage budget were always going to be a stumbling block for Levy. It’s just not the way he operates. I was quietly hoping that all the recent negativity towards him might have made him more willing to compromise in this regard but I guess a leopard can’t change its spots.
Levy is really a prick. It's the way how a football club should operate. He's a fucking chairman, he could leave all this to Munn and have less things to stress about.

Seriously he has build such a great money spinning club it bugs me how he's not enjoying the fruits of it by letting go of affairs he shouldn't meddle with.

Or he might as well appoint himself the DoF, really.

I'm not actually that bothered if JN doesn't become our next manager; he's still young and we'll be looking for another coach in 2-3 years anyway when the next appointment fails.

What annoys me the most is the bullshit coming out of the club, treating the fans like idiots and showing yet again the complete disconnect the senior leadership has with us. Just be honest, say we were interested but it wouldn't have worked. All this does is add yet another thing on the list for us to complain about Levy, ENIC and the current board.

The remainder of the managers on the shortlist seems at first glance to still be attacking and progressive in their style of play although the jury is still out on Alonso, so I'm not as downhearted as I was in 2021 (yet), but bugger me how many chances does Levy and his bunch of clowns need to get this right? Clusterfuck springs to mind.

It’s 100% going to be mason isn’t it…
Apparently one of the factors in the 'rejection' of Nagelsmann was age. This would appear to rule out Mason. Who knows though. The people at the top of the club probably have less idea who's going to be our next manager than we do.

So I still maintain he's broken everything and there's not really a way back but also cling on to the hope that this is all just noise and that Nagelsmann isn't off the table.
Sadly this is where I’m landing now. His actions increasingly resemble that of someone who has been in an unquestioned position of power for too long.

He’s consistently making bad decisions, and there seems to be zero self awareness as to the reality of this.

This is the last straw for me.

So, we move on from JN, have some itk that alludes to us not liking him for various reasons, and it NOT being JN turning us down, and everyone still losing their shit and assuming Mason is now the only option? Spurs announced they've moved on just like Chelsea did, they've not appointed Fat Frank permanently have they?

Maybe, DL/Munn are actually getting this right... Perhaps Slot, as has been said before is high on our list and wants to come and we're waiting for an appropriate time to move forward with it.

I’m just against him being appointed. I think it’s far too early he needs to go to championship and have a year day at a team like qpr or team like that and build his rep without the pressure he’ll have here otherwise his career will be ruined before it’s started. Look at lampard. He’d be sacked by nov and we’ll be in the same mess and another season wasted again

Ok so a few things

1: firstly the world was a much better place when we knew f all until the manager or player had signed.

2: fans should not be embarrassed about things that we can’t control. Be embarrassed, that we bored our players, not this?

3: I’m seeing a lot of Levy wanted Nagelsmann and Poch two seasons ago, what’s changed? Unfortunately we won’t really know until we know what sort of manager comes next.

4: Kanes talked this week about us returning to our values. Obviously we need to understand what these values are however, if it starts with togetherness then maybe we didn’t see this From Nagelsmann. Rumours from the Chelsea talks were that he acted like he was doing them a favour.

5: PR at this club is absolutely shocking. I mean come on just keep your mouth shut until the end of the season. Top of Levy’s to do list is hire a PR consultation firm.

Finally if you’ve had enough of Levy vote with your feet or by not renewing memberships buying club merchandise.
