Downward spiral now after a result like this, mark my words, quote me on it. We won't recover from it, a result like this makes me believe this season has been nothing more than a fluke.

That was a disgrace of a performance. Luckily all we've lost out on is bragging rights, which is infuriating but doesn't change anything in terms of preparing for next season. Taking the positives out of it, Pochettino has now seen just how bad this team is capable of being (and dare I say how bad he is capable of being, the gaps we left at the back once Mitrovic went off were laughable) and will learn what needs to be done to prevent it from being repeated.

A truly astonishing 30 game run in the middle of the season bookended by eight games of utter dross - with a few days' distance from today and the past few weeks, we'll look at it as a fantastic season. It doesn't feel much like that right now though.

Fucking hell, I just had this terrible fucking nightmare that Spurs lost 5-1 at Newcastle! Let's hope that it's not a omen for the real game later on!

Anyone who blames the ref, or anyone else other than our own team, for that performance today is a fucking moron.

Simply put, we blew it. Our chance to finish above Arsenal and take 2nd. Completely and utterly blew it. Newcastle weren't good. They didn't "show up" for the last game having been already relegated. We just simply didn't do enough. The ref fucked up the penalty call but we gifted them those goals. The second we got one back we should've fought for another. The second they went down to 10 men we should've capitalised. We just blew it. We finished 3rd, and it fucking hurts. How is this even possible?

You just have to laugh don't you. I don't know why we expected anything else from this wonderful team of ours. Anyone who complains about the term 'Spursy' needs to realise that this is what we are. Cursed.

Shows what utter bullshit some were coming out with after the Chelsea game.

Exactly, that wasn't fighting spirit that was a bunch of kids showing their immaturity and letting everyone know we were feeling the pressure. We desperately need some experience in there, cos it doesn't matter how talented our players are, or mentality will always let us down.

A part of me wishes these fucks didn't get Champions League now. They don't deserve it on that performance alone

So fucking pissed off

I would keep the following players only.

Lloris
Walker
Trippier
Alderweireld
Vertonghen
Winmer
Rose
Davies
Dier
Dembele
Ali
Lamela
Eriksen
Kane.

That's it.

That is surely the worst result in the whole history of spurs. If anyone can think of another one that's worse, I'm all ears.
we had more than a load of fuck thrashings... this one has the worse and most important implication that it ranked the top IMO...

You'd think George R.R. Martin was writing the Premier League this season. And that was the fucking red wedding of football

You can see the positives of finishing 3rd but the mental ramifications of this 'bottle job' will be huge.

A draw, a draw was all what was needed to finish above Arsenal for the first time in nearly two decades.

A draw against a side who, to save themselves from relegation couldn't beat the most abject team the league has seen for many years.

I expected nothing less than a win, with a draw being a bitter pill to swallow.

What do we do instead, we lose 5-1 and concede 3 of those goals against a relegated team with ten men.

I can't even sum up my feelings right now.

1st half was an absolute disgrace, bit like the 2nd half v them at home. after goal and sending off I thought a matter of time, but wow Sissoko dive 3-1 down, and defence went on strike

Not too sure how we, the fans, can recover from this. We're 3rd, a total dream, but I've lost faith in the players. Deflated and disappointed. My passion is dwindling

I think we could lose a few more like Davies, Carroll, and Walker, all not good enough.
Yea I just couldn't be bothered to list everyone

Although I would keep Walker and possibly add Son to the list (although it's unfair on Son as he's had so little time)

My biggest rant is, I don't mind the team losing if they fight all the way, but to give up like they did today shows a lack of backbone.
