Surely with all the reports leaking from all angles of test events, legends games etc. the club will have to confirm one way or another within the next 24 hours or so. It’s just not fair on the fans to keep us waiting and waiting and waiting for news.
Let's face it. They haven't really shown much sign of caring about fan opinion or fairness before. They'll announce when it's a good moment for them and not a second before.

EDIT: Don't know quite why this is so controversial. But I don't think what they're doing it necessarily a bad thing. It's just that the timing will be about when it's ready, when they're certain everything's sorted etc. Fan opinion wouldn't come into it that I could see, especially as we'll all be very happy when the positive news finally arrives whether that's tomorrow, next week or later than that.

Levy doesn’t blink*.

*When playing for high stakes. I’m sure he does blink to keep his eyeballs clean and hydrated. I’ve never actually seen him lick them like some sort of lizard man some expect him to be.

Yes. The fans. That lot the club have really shown their care for with price rises for a stadium they hadn't finished building yet, a continued drip-feed of information, ignoring the Trust, and a total lack of transparency. Let's face it, they couldn't give a rat's arse whether we think it's fair or not, and they've been keeping us waiting since they took our money for the stadium twelve months ago.
Oh dear you have got it bad haven't you.

Levy will wait to see if we go through and if we do dish out the bad news
I'm not sure it's the done thing to announce where you will play the quarter final when you haven't qualified for it yet, that doesn't mean the club hasn't discussed it with UEFA. Also what part does the FA play in anything to do with the Premier league? Wouldn't it be the Premier league itself that we agree the venue for our next few games with?

The fa own Wembley. If we need to play there we will have to agree with them.

I would imagine the test events are pretty much a formality - probably to see how many ankle injuries the Legends pick up from the sideline slopes.. :cautious:

Seriously though; if safety testing is complete it'll just be a case of proving that we can get large crowds in and out in a safe and non-disruptive manner.
Yes that's what I'm thinking because last time they announced the test events before the safety tests were completed. I think they'll need to give enough notice for a league game so maybe they'll announce the opener along with the test events.

I don't think there's any leaks.

I think a select few people have seen various facts, such as;
We don't have any home games until April, and they're all seemingly subject to change beyond our control.
We haven't made any announcement on where or when they'll be
The veil seems to be finished
Some bloke on twitter said it's all kushty.

One or 2 blogs (not even real news outlets) have posted about how optimistic Spurs are that it's ready (based off the above deductions)
And bam - you have stories being issued as fact.

It could easily go the other way entirely and we get the dreaded Stadium Update picture saying we've found another problem and won't be able to move in.

For what it's worth, I very much doubt we'll make any announcement until we know for a fact when our next home game will be. And that might not be until after Brighton play their FAC game which is the weekend after next. I'm sure Spurs are apprehensive that it's likely Brighton will win.

I think we'll see a test games announcement tomorrow, with the first game confirmed as either Brighton or Huddersfield contingent on successful passing of the tests & the outcome of Brighton's FA Cup game.

Dont see anything wrong with putting out comms with caveats in, we all know the position we are in by now right

I'd be surprised if anyone can answer your question mate.

However, as frustrating as it must be for those lucky enough to be able to go to the new stadium for the first game. After the setbacks etc that have been endured so far, it would be totally understandable for the club to wait until all test events have been completed & confirm everything is 100% ready to go.

You just know we'd announce the first fixture after the first test event, then the second event would throw a spanner in the works & leave us with yet me egg on our faces.
No way I want your egg on my face :ROFLMAO:

Does anybody seriously think that there's someone at the club saying "Well, the announcement is all ready to go, but the fans don't really deserve it so we'll hold off?" Or, conversely, that they'd say "Well, we're not really certain we can do those dates, but the fans really want to know so we'll announce them anyway?" It just doesn't make sense to base a very major announcement's timing on fan opinion.

It will happen when they are ready, i am taking the view that if we play a game there this season then its a bonus, if we don't then hey ho it will be next season. I am desperately hoping there will be some games in the NWHL this season as my son really wants to go to his first spurs match and I keep telling him 'No' as i don't want his first game to be at Wembley.

Also the next ‘for definite’ home game is April 13 so guess no rush
