Wow. What an experience for my first visit that was.

Enjoyed the walk up the High Road from Seven Sisters with my Dad, and got into the ground around 6:30, grabbed a couple of pints of Neck Oil from the Beavertown Brewery, then headed up to level 3 where are seats were and got some food and had another drink. We then got into our seats with about 45 minutes before kick off. Just wanted to soak it all in. Got pretty emotional as all the montage videos played before we came out, the new one with Kenneth Brannagh is great. Love watching those with my Dad as he tells me of all the glory glory nights he was at.

The atmosphere was great, we were in 253, didn't sit all game. The views and sounds were unreal. My ears were literally ringing after the goal. That U2 sound guy has really earned his money there.

Great night, hopefully the first of many glory glory nights under the lights in the new stadium. COYS

Yeah just looked at the interactive map on the app and can see one at the other end of the East Lower by block 118. Thanks, I’ll take a look on Sat.

Another good thing to mention is I’ve eaten twice there now and the food has tasted much better than I expected. The hot dog I had last night was delicious. Unlike Wembley.

Still annoying that I have to go to the Market a Place for a burger, but I’m sure if I explore I’ll find somewhere else I can get one.

One negative though is that although prices seem reasonable re food and booze, the prices of water and soft drinks are daylight robbery. Plus oddly there’s no tea/coffee available at the touch line grills. Don’t get that at all.

I am not a habitual connoisseur of hot dogs, but I have to agree. It was really nice: a big, decently spiced sausage that was heavy on the meat and light on the bread/crap/filler/sludge, a good, robust brioche roll and a generous supply of fried onions. Almost worth the 25-minute queue.

It was something of a surprise to discover that the mustard, which was coloured the bright yellow of sweet mustard, was actually proper hot English mustard, which is usually beige. Now I love English mustard as much as the next man, but perhaps I might have applied it a bit more sparingly had I known what was being served. My sinuses were certainly clear thereafter, which is a rarity in hay fever season. It gave my tenor rendition of "Oh when the Spurs..." an added projection.

We couldn't get into the Marketplace at all - it was blocked off from the East concourse and guarded by several gilets jaune of considerable size. It's apparently not for the plebs on the Shelf. But there were burgers for sale at the same place as we got the hot dog, so I'm not sure why you had to go elsewhere to get them. Unless they ran out again.

noticed last night there are drinking fountains scattered around the place. so no need to buy water.

It's a measure to reduce plastic consumption. Many places, including hospitals, etc., are doing likewise.

The sausage rolls are life.

They are very good. Only problem was I'd asked for a veggie one, and after one bite I thought, "This is either the greatest vegetarian sausage roll ever, or I've been misserved.”

Quite a lot of complaints on Twitter about this and does seem to be predominantly about that block. THST are getting involved on twitter,reporting them all and asking for any more info so hopefully it gets resolved somehow.

Do they do vegetarian sausage rolls then? I didn't know that however if any vegetarians out there want to stray from the path of righteousness just for once I can assure them that our sausage rolls are the things to do it for.

I think this is going to become a real problem for the club especially in Europe. I would imagine the EUFA report will mention the virtually total standing in North and South stands for the whole match. People seem to think that the new stadium means that they can revert back to what they did in the 70's and 80's ( I was there) but, until they allow some form of safe standing, it is simply against the rules and they will eventally reduce the capacity for European nights as a punsishment.
I know its a very touchy subject for some people but its worse now that its much harder for non season ticket holders to pick where they want to ' sit' if they are lucky enough to win the ticket lottery. I was in the upper South stand and didn't see a steward all night but could see them in the lower West and East stands gesturing for people to sit down. As always, its about the people who cant cope with standing- my late Mum was still coming to the occasional game with me when she was over 70 and no way could she have stood, same for small kids and people with certain physical problems- I have a weak back but just about coped with standing the whole match although was perched on the seat edge towards the end. Also, it was pretty manic when we scored and it wouldnt be a huge surprise for someone to get accidentally pushed over the seats in front of them.
I know probably not a popular view ,but the club are bound to get tougher about this as it is going to cause them serious issues eventually.

Why on earth did you go in the south stand if you want to sit. Surely you know you would be ruining the VAST majority of south stand experience and ruining the atmosphere if you managed to get everyone to sit down
