Year after year the likes of Man U do it, they are never beat, they never give in, they win games at the death even when behind with the game running out, AVB seems to have installed that in us, we never give in , we show so much character and its no fluke we have been getting all these late goals, can anyone remember us have so much will to win? ..coys!

It does seem we have changed our pre-Christmas weakness of conceding late goals into a strength of scoring them ourselves. This type of improvement is great to see and gives me confidence that if we lose a game we can quickly turn around a slump rather than having a patchy run.

I was buzzing when Villas Boas came in and I think this is a perfect (and very much noticable) example of his methods. We have had a problem with conceding late goals and finishing games poorly in the last few seasons but since he implemented the drills at the end of training we have been better defensively with our concentration as well as going forward and taking advantage of a tired opposition. This isnt a fluke, much like it isnt when teams like United do it year after year. Hopefully this mentality is instilled in our players and will be for years to come

Gylfi Sigurdsson said something after the Lyon away game that seems to have been missed by most. All these late goals we are scoring are no fluke. Read on.....

It was fantastic to get that late goal, especially away from home, so credit to the team for keeping going. We didn't have many minutes left on the clock. We've been working on [finishing strongly] since the start of the season. We've conceded a few late goals and now we've turned it around and we're scoring a lot of late goals, so that's a positive thing.
