Ok both parents english and I was born in Hitchin, BUT............

One grandmother a Berlin Prussian, married an english soldier whose ancestors can be traced back to when they saved King Robert the Bruce from being killed by a charging bull (Hence our surname Turnbull).

The other grandmother Irish, born in the Curragh camp (old irish army base) and met a londoner when she came to london at 17 (he was chelsea blue).

So in short im a bit of a mongrel.

When I was a baby, less than a year old, my parents moved to Safrica. They took me with of course. So while I was born in England, I grew up in SA until I was an adult so I very much consider myself South African.

UK passport has come in handy though!

I will also support the English & Scottish when they play in the various sports due to my roots.
