This is not even a rumour but Spurs would do well to have a look at Nathan Burns of Adelaide. A mixture of Harry Kewell and Robbie Keane the boy will at the Olympics playing for Australia. Probably seen as an inside forward type player and links well between midfield and attack. One for the future.

Nathan Burns is coming to Norway to train with Brann today.

I'd be thrilled if we (Brann, they are my local team back home) managed to sign him, but Club Brugge, Anderlecht, Villa and Wigan are apparently also scouting him.

As the transfer markets for those leagues who play summer seasons (notably Norway, Sweden, Russia) are open until 31 March he could sign for Brann before that time and join the club, while in the other leagues where the transfer window has just been closed he would have to wait until the summer.

I've always liked Kristian Sarkies, used to play for Melbourne but plays for Adelaide now. I remember having an all nighter last year at uni and watching the pre-season cup final? between Melbourne and Adelaide. Melbourne won 6-0 and sarkies came on for the last 3 mins or so and scored an absolute peach of a goal
Nathan Burns is pretty good, im not too sure about prem yet though. Though fulham signed leijer in the summer, just wonder how long till he's ready for first team action. There's gotta be some more decent aussies coming through after kewell, viduka, timmy cahill and neill

Not up to the Premiership standard I reckon.
He's only 19...

This season in the A-League he didn't really get a good run of games together due to injuries and Olyroos commitments.

He does have the potential, it's just a case now of staying injury free and hopefully Brann can put this signing through.

Don't know much about this guy, but the A-League matches that I've seen have shown several players that wouldn't look out of place in the Premier League. Standards are pretty good, and the style is not dissimilar to the UKs.

He's saying to the Norwegian press today that if he receives an offer from Brann he'll almost certainly accept it.

Brann recently signed another Aussie, Wisla Krakow left back Michael Thwaite. Anyone here have an opinion on him?
