He's linked every window, and I've always hoped that one day we may actually sign him. However, he rarely featured for Juventus last season (injuries didn't help), and will turn 31 early next season. Still, there's always been a Berbatov-esque class to him, with a little more pace and versatility.

I think we'll wait until January to make a move for Jay Rodriguez because of his injury and contract situation, so Vucinic could act as an excellent short-term option as he's a forward capable of dropping deep and creating (like Lambert), as well as cutting in from the wing (like Rodriguez).

[translated] The Montenegrin appeals to many. Both in Italy and abroad. I was on the verge of joining Inter in exchange for Guarin but then jumped all over, remember? He had already done, even medical. Now it is done under the Fiorentina but between demand and supply, the difference is remarkable. However, there is scope for negotiation. Many, many, requests that are coming from England. Two companies of all:. Everton and Tottenham. The Londoners this summer we had already tried with little success. Baldini had tried offering the loan. And Everton is the club again. The attacker does not mind playing in the Premier. On the contrary: it is very tempted.

Not the greatest picture quality, but a very decent show-reel of his qualities in general play (at Juventus), particularly his skill-level and creativity...

No for the love of God no!!!!! He's about as much use as Pandev, a goal shy striker.

A good player and one that would have been more attractive a few years ago, but too old now and far too few goals for a top striker over his career. Would much rather focus on a younger striker who can develop than spend on Vucinic now

I don't even want him at Juve. Not going to want him at Spurs either.

The Premier League would be his worst nightmare. Although the pace in the Serie A (or perceived lack thereof) is grossly exaggerated, it is still a slower league than the Premier League. You don't get closed down as quick and even that's not enough time for him to do something with the ball. He's like an Adebayor, at his best when he's not got time to think. Give him time on the ball and he'll take half a dozen touches and try to hold the ball up. Most frustrating aspect about him is that he thinks he's a lot stronger than he is as he's always trying to shield the ball and draw in defenders, but he just gets rolled over and barely wins free kicks too. An awful fit for the EPL if ever there was one, and a player who is just way too hit and miss.

And at 31, he will be looking for once last big pay day and not to go to a club where he will be expected to work his nuts off.

His best days are long gone and by that I mean 3-4 years ago.

We need someone young, fresh, eager and dynamic on the left hand side, attributes which Vucinic no longer possesses.

I'm quite mystified as to why we haven't made a move for Redmond ... he has huge potential and he won't be too expensive with Norwich going down.

What's already been said.

Vucinic is like stale bread at this stage for a club of our level.

Levy might consider the positives of money saving on stale bread but in the end of the day he will end up at least going to Tescos for some fresh stuff because he's a millionaire and it would be silly to do otherwise.

Most likely drink and a late night doobie has inexplicably caused me to post about bread in a Mirko Vicinic thread.

He will be linked to Spurs until he retires - or join Arsenal or Liverpool (see Downing...and Suarez ;) )

When we lost Berba and Keane maybe, but not any more.

Just read another report that said Mo-Po has been given the go-ahead to pursue him. May just be yet another rumour. At 31, not sure he's what we need right now.
