Early cult hero for me, absolute nails.Anyone remember Stuart Pearce and Pat Van Den Hauwe going in for a 50/50 at WHL? The whole ground held it's breath

I know that memory misjudgement thing. I just checked and I didn't go to any away tie in the 84 winning year - apart from the 1st leg of the final in Brussels.
I didn't miss many matches at all in the 1980's home or away.
A proper Spurs fan will spot something in this old clip...
.
the only thing I noticed was that it was filmed from the main stand compared to just above the shelf

Not sure this is something you’d want to watch, but if you’re a masochist they have the 87 cup final on ITV 4.
I’ve just watched a bit of the build up and interesting too see Greavsie all pally pally with Coventry and saying he’d like to see them win it. I think he definitely had the needle with Spurs and the way it ended with us.
This match was my first real introduction to being a Spurs fan and endless disappointment, so I think I’ll watch the start and then turn it off and pretend we won it
I have never watched this on TV.. I was there. A closed door in my memory with some wooden slats nailed across the frame just in case.
One from 1971 ..
Derby away, remembering The Popside, a Chivers long throw-in and probably my favourite Spurs kit of all time.

Yeah same with me....That's why the following year we went to Brugge & Prague...
I do! There was literally a collective intake of breath! Two players nicknamed Psycho!Anyone remember Stuart Pearce and Pat Van Den Hauwe going in for a 50/50 at WHL? The whole ground held it's breath

Remember when we played them in the cup we were 3-1 up and they smashed us 3-5 with a Roger Davis master class that night and another Big Chiv throw in..
