It is hard to give a (spurs) motm when the highest is about a 3/10.
But there are some strong standout candidates for shit of the match so they were not all at the same level.

singling out sessegnon is very unfair and he took it very badly. I don't see him recovering from this and he needs to move on asap and salvage what he can from his career.
So here's a consolation motm, and good-luck.

Anyone comes here and doesn't believe Lloris is responsible for their goals is a Joker

The first one 100% the second one to a certain extent with the misplaced pass to Davies, but Davies had plenty of time to clear the ball but gave it straight to them so he is much more to blame.

you can add Sanchez clearing the ball at Donkerty which rebounded off him onto the post

Romero will give away free kicks and get turned that is his game, in trying to win the ball ahead of the attacker that will happen, when it works it helps us win the ball higher up and can start counters, you have to take the Rough with the smooth. And just hope he learns to pick his moments better, (still that free kick should have been dealt with...)

Davies was guilty of trying to find a pass that wasn't on and not wanting to just clear his lines.

The decision making is this group of players is horrendous. Turning blind when under pressure. Hoofing blind when under no pressure. Playing backwards when in space to turn. Too many touches, too few etc...

But ultimately Lloris shoulders this one. One of his manic days where his decisions were wrong (and costly) that flap with no wolves player near him was shocking and I'm sure that was in his mind when he panics that pass behind Davies.
Seen enough from the two new boys to know they have something about them. Let's hope they don't get damaged by the weak mentality of the current group before they can do some good

With the amount of average players we have saying "A big summer is needed" is a massive understatement. Could do with 6+ new starters for me

Lloris: 3/10
Davies: 4/10
Sanchez: 4/10
Romero: 5/10
Doherty: 4/10
Sess: n/a poor guy. Didn't do anything wrong before getting the hook. No doubt murdering any semblance of confidence he might have had.
Bentantcur: 6/10 (probably MotM)
Kulu: 5/10
Son: 4/10
Moura: 3/10
Kane: 5.5/10
Winks: 3/10

Conte: 3/10

Overall, poor performance all round and one to forget. I have no idea what Conte does next. He has so few options of any great quality. He needs to figure out a more suitable system, though. It's clear as day his 3-4-3 just isn't applicable to the players he has available.

I really hate it when fans get on the back of a player as I feel this does nothing to help the situation. Well Winks has converted me big time. This guy is a waste of a shirt number and should have been subbed and escorted out of the stadium.
I think Conte and Hugo was at the pub last night and decided to do shots. World class keep and world class manager but they need to stay away from the drink.

Ok watching the game at the lane and the mistakes start and already we are 2 down ,the crowd for most part we’re still behind the team willing to get back in the game and not one player made a difference , if this game showed us anything was Doherty was and always will be not good enough the same goes for Davies , Sanchez , and winks and this was imo the worst performance since before poch we really are a poor side with a poor bench

OK - Kane, Bentancur, Romero

Poor - Everyone else except for

Offensive - Sanchez, Winks, Doherty

Lloris probably should go in the bottom category but even though it was primarily his fault that we went 2-0 down - it's only because of him that it didn't get to 4 or 5

Absolutely dreadful first half, much improved second but really lacking that bit of quality and carrying too many liabilities. Lloris clearly at fault for the second goal and we just don’t need him panicking as for us panic is contagious.

Romero the only one of the defence that was ok, although Sess wasn’t playing poorly before getting dragged undeservedly. Davies, Sanchez and Doherty all very poor in possession and just woeful defending (if it can be described as defending). The bench options are really poor when we are chasing the game and Royal comes on Doherty.

Winks in the first half gave one of the worst midfield performances I can remember from a Spurs player and there have been some shockers. Poor in possession, wasteful and second too everything. Second half could see him hiding but was a little better. Bentancur actually looked very capable and with a better partner looks like a good buy, oh for better footballers around him.

Moura largely irrelevant, lost possession too often and easily. Offered nothing in possession, going forward or pressing. Son very frustrating did so much good work but lacked composure and quality when it matter. Kane toiled hard but in games like this he needs to be more clinical when we do get chances. Kulu did some good things and looked like a footballer and will benefit as he gets more up to speed with his team mates and the pace of the game.

Conte, hard to hold him accountable for the error ridden start that killed the game early but the Sess decision was harsh and sends the wrong message to the real poor performers who thoroughly deserved to be dragged - Winks and Davies. Midfield outgunned even though Bentancur was playing well, improved with Kulu change. Probably looked at the bench and regretted letting Gil and GLC go out on loan as he scanned the Royal, Rodon, etc options.

We were poor (again) but the home crowd really don't help. It took all of 12 minutes for them to start loudly groaning.

The effort was there. The quality and composure wasn't. Conte has to take some responsibility also. If you make a sub after 20 mins that suggests you got the starting setup wrong in the first place.

Bentancur has the gait of berbatov. Kulu played quite well and but for poor finishing could have had a couple of assists. Kane and Son both pretty good in the build up but then fucked up their finishes. The whole defence (which includes everyones darling romero) was a crock of shit and the midfield were overrun.

Just poor all round. Team, coaching staff, and fans.
