There was ITK earlier in window, possibly from Val can't remember, that Levy has finally realised losing out on CL is too great to the club and is going to go for it this window. Big 10 days coming up hopefully.

Yeah but our incomings are not reliant on outgoings apparently, it's just complete coincidence that we wait until we shift someone before buying someone. We hear exactly the same thing every year, I'm amazed anyone is still taken in by it.

Is it not point that way this window then?

He wasn’t genuine.
He was a previous poster who had been banned, and then created a new account.
Brings into question whether anything he said about Paratici was in any way factual.
Which is a big shame.

No bueno
Thanks for the info didnt realise that.

The fact that we hired our 6 or 7th choice coach and so far have bought 1 player that improves the first XI would suggest that this is not true at all.

I’ve got my positive pants on today. I reckon Kane gets resolved today/tomorrow, then Paratici starts pulling the trigger on multiple deals. We’ve heard all along the last week of the window is when most happens.
I feel it’s no coincidence we’ve been linked with multiple options at CB and CM over the last week or so, sounding out which club is most in need of a sale so we can screw the price down.
Think someone else said something along those lines earlier, FP has 3-4 players on the hook, then sees which club bends the most on price, eg sorry Cagliari you’re asking too much for Nandez, and Aouar seems cheaper, we’re going that direction unless you can lower your price a bit. Similar conversation with Lyon then takes place.
Shave some money off the CM and CB so we can channel more cash to CF.

Probably why Nuno was given licence to take big risks with his team in Europe. CL qualification is the target.

Sadly, of course he wasn’t genuine. There were so many holes in his backstory, the fact he used such perfect colloquialisms and cultural references an Italian wouldn’t have grown up with, had pretty much perfect grammar construction for a second language (it would be third, Italy during when he would have been at school didn’t teach English as second language but instead did German)… claimed Fab joining gave them an excuse to join/talk about Spurs… but the account was registered 2 years before Fav joined etc…

so, frankly, it was a piece of performance art and not a single thing was true about the account.

i wish i shared your optimism mate, and in a sense i still do to a degree, just cant help but think its the same inevitable let down of previous windows. ITK has started to dry up, no whispers of deals in the pipeline ( and when there are they get squashed ) or they sign new deals, just think we've dithered too much with the kane saga & it's gonna bite us. AGAIN.

Like so so weird and creepy, seemed to have decent knowledge, and seemed like a genuinely nice guy. Cant believe it was all fake all along lol. My positivity regarding Paratici thus far has pretty much been based on his comments.. such a shame its all bs

I'm slowly resigning myself to the possibility that our business is done.

Come on Spurs.

Prove me wrong.

I’m playing this Clint Eastwood cool until the final day of the window, such is my confidence in our new approach to transfers.

Then if nothing happens, I’ll start slinging turds at passing traffic

Chelsea in for Saul and still working on Kounde deal.

They are already stacked at CM too.

It just feels so pointless in football nowadays. We have no chance when our rivals sign players like they do. Lukaku, Kounde, looking at Saul. It's just a different universe.

What chance does Paratici have.

Wasn't Romario the one who coined the phrase 'master of spinning plates' or something along those lines, and said that if things were quiet it meant things were happening? In which case :nailbiting:

The most likely explanation: things are quiet because sod all is happening (until the Kane situation is resolved).

Must be quite the experience coming from a club that is the dominant one in Juventus. I guess he's still able to cherry pick the top players from the lesser Serie A clubs but he won't be able to do that in the PL or Spain. Must be quite the challenge for him. Hope he's up for it!

This was what frustrates me about the club. It took SC a few weeks to ditch the deadwood that was poster Romario, yet we’ve still got Winks and Sissoko. Useless twats

Meh, its always been like that.

We have always had to be smarter and take bigger risks than those teams. It works on occasion and it doesn't on many others, but it's refreshing to hear you identify that some of this stuff is just out of our control and not all the fault of our club hierarchy.
