Will judge after the window closes. However, he has a monumental task in the next two weeks.

I said it yesterday in this thread: we need to bring in a number of players with end product. Someone like Zaha who had nearly three times as many goals last season in the league than Bergwijn, Moura and Dele COMBINED would be a huge lift to squad quality. Damsgaard, Aouar, Zakaria, Saint-Maximin would all provide real competition and provide the squad a spark in the final third.

I think after the match at Wolves this weekend, where I suspect we'll struggle to break them down, it'll be even more apparent that there will be a need for creativity. If Kane needs to go to bring in 5-6 players, so be it. Keeping Kane and signing no one else essentially guarantees a slightly weaker squad on paper than last season. Even with some internal improvement, a 6th place finish is likely the peak position. At least with wholesale changes, you may get lucky and get two or three players in that really make a difference.
Zaha ffs. Of all the examples you pick a streaky inconsistent player that for the majority of his career has had no end product.

Think it's becoming very very clear that our transfer policy hasn't changed at all this summer. We still need to sell to buy and if we don't manage to sell then we won't take the risk and sign a new player in that position regardless like some other clubs would do.

No idea how much of it is down to COVID or Paratici but given that his weakness has always supposedly been getting rid of deadwood its not the most promising sign. Really starting to lose hope that we'll even come close to doing the necessary amount of business this window.

I shudder to think what end product Bergwijn and Moura have then - if Zaha has no end product.

Zaha waltzes into our team easily.

At one point he insinuated he was ITK or had an inside knowledge of Paratici. I saw Rob call him out on it and request that he PMd a mod before wording things in such a way.
Seemed a bit obsessed lol. Was a decent poster tho. I mostly wait until I’m wankered then write shit I forgot I wrote until I open the page in the morning and see 22 notifications dohing me ?

Wasn't Romario the one who coined the phrase 'master of spinning plates' or something along those lines, and said that if things were quiet it meant things were happening? In which case :nailbiting:

So my blind-hope take is:

All gone quiet becasue Kane has been sold (€200,000,000).

We are actively working on 5 (five) 1st team player acquisitions (in).

We have secured moves / loans (out) for all those we want out.

Prepare yourselves for Funtime Friday Announcements??

Or not

I imagine we'd want to work it out carefully if he is being sold.

Silly me thought they'd wait until people were happy and distracted by a convincing win in Portugal

Herc was the one who shared that if it was quiet that meant FP was working:
