I am amazed we have not done anything on the striker front considering our lack of goals..

Only Bony is still available but looks like we pulled out of talks recently according to his agent..

I feel very flat and 100% certain we will not be challenging for the top four. I am really disappointed I don`t think I can take another crap season!!

Many of you on the forum have said we don`t need any new strikers as Adebayor, Soldado and Kane are enough so lets see how that goes!!

Christ, how high must your expectations be if 10 goals in 5 matches this season constitutes a 'lack'?!

What do you consider to be a crap season?

Ade, Soldado and Kane is a fine strikeforce. We've had much, much worse.

true, but the team which finished below us last year now have Rooney, Van Persie and Falcao.
No comparison really is there?

Nope you're quite right, there really shouldn't be any comparison, yet you're comparing us to one of the biggest powerhouses in world football with a bank roll that dwarfs ours. On the other hand you could say that Chelski (Who finished above us) had a strike force of Torres, Etoo and Ba... I'll say no more.

Kane who isn't proven nor reliable, Soldado who hardly scores (lets be honest, he is NOT the answer) and Ade who doesn't show up for every game and is very hit and miss... None of these players will score 20+ goals in the Premier League. Scoring a hattrick against some Greek side in the EL wont say anything. Everyone gets crazy when people like Soldado and Lamela have a great game against AEL expecting them to be able to do it against a team like Liverpool... No chance. We at the very least a class striker otherwise we are in big trouble.

I still think we are more missing a playmaker. Erikson is not consistent enough, likewise Paulino hasn't impressed in that role. Holtby has gone on loan. Not sure where the creativity and playmaker is in our team. I think if we had that soldado ade Kane Lamela could do the trick.

You mean you're actually starting to realise that we won't be challenging for the top four?, welcome to reality.

On paper possibly. But Soldado would struggle to hit a barn door with a handful of gravel, at present. Ade turns up when he feels like it and Harry........ well not sure about him tbh. We do need someone up top who is clinical in front of goal, for me those 3 are not.

Crouch, Pav and Defoe was worse imo.

I wonder how many goals they got between them though, compared to our current 3, be very interesting i think. Just doesn't sound as good as Soldado, Ade and Kane though.

If the window closes and we've failed to bringing in MS to upgrade the quality in the centre of the park and also bring in now one to improve our striking options and LWF then we'll have stagnated while most of our rivals have improved

We've done some good business for the future and balanced some of the squad options but there are 2-3 key signings that we really needed to make and it looks like once again we won't be doing so

I can understand if we need to wait til Jan for J-Rod and MS but having the Welbeck deal fall through we really should have had a back up plan to push through because I;m not convinced what we have is enough to see us through the season

That said maybe Poch will benefit from lowered expectations resulting in more time and less pressure to build the team

Typical Spurs .....still fail to see the root cause to our downfall. But in Levy and his retarded management team let us down again.....
