In what world do Hammers fans give GSB a pass? I don't know of many or even any fans who are actually happy with them, they're just a little bit less mutinous than they were the day they stormed the OS after a loss a couple of years ago.

That has happened more after the move before that they were drinking from the anti spurs propaganda but the Press/Media and general football community by in large do not scrutinise GSB like they do Ashley

Christ that Tainio goal was sexual football. Absolute class.
Had to go look it up. Didn't remember the individual goals (Stalteri winner excepted). Watching the goals brought me back. Defoe staying cool while Zamora tried putting him off, the flick from Lennon for the Tanio goal, the nonchalant Berba free kick. And finally the last one. What a game!

I remember. I knew that Berba was going to score when he was stood there!

The latest series of that Jack Sullivan thing is on iPlayer, and it's pretty funny.
Their manager is mouthing off at the start of the season saying how they're going to win the league, predicting all the games they were going to win, then they just go and lose most of them...the first episode has the game against us at the Thunderdome where we win lol.
They get absolutely annihilated by Chelsea 8-0...they would have probably been relegated if it wasn't for Covid.

I know its not a popular thing to say but I quite like Jack Sullivan, he's just seems like any other 19 year old, except his old man is a billionaire, if the series was about any other club I'd be rooting for them, but it's West Ham so it's just so hilarious when they lose most of their games.

BURNLEY REJECT £30M FOR TARKOWSKI

Burnley
have rejected a second bid from West Ham United of £30m for defender James Tarkowski.

The Hammers had a £27million bid for the England international turned down earlier this week but came back within the last 24 hours with an improved offer.

However, the increased bid of £30m still falls way short of Burnley’s asking price which is believed to be in the region of £50m.

Leicester City have also been heavily linked with a move for Tarkowski.

I don't see what Tarkowski has to gain from that transfer apart from a raise. He's a Manchester lad, has spent his whole life in that area apart from two years at Brentford, he earns well, plays in a solid team where he can showcase his strengths and for a manager who loves him. Why should he even want to go to an unstable chaos club where the manager is more likely than not to be sacked at some point this season?

I know money is the answer but even so.

It's like me playing 2 player football manager and fucking up the opposing team on purpose by doing stupid things like this.

Love watching the reply of that game. I was working in a pub that evening and left home when it was 3-2 to West Ham, 5 minute drive to the pub, by the time i've got there, we'd won 4-3. Heaven. Pub was full of Spammers. Best shift i ever worked !!

And anyone who says Lennon was only pace watch the absolute quality technique of that assist for Taino.

Possibly one of the best assists I’ve ever seen.

Lennon had top class ability, i think it was maybe his mentality that let him down more as he didn’t quite have that ruthless cutting edge that gets players to the very top.

I believe it was Jol that always said he felt Lennon had all the natural abilities but had a mental block in the final third.

Mike Ashley, hes not a Geordie, I know its not a race but you get the point

Whereas gold and Sullivan are by far some of the shittest owners in the league pretty much playing with fire with the OS and yet they got so much more leeway because they are proper cockney lads and "one of their own"

The xenophobia comment is just bizarre and makes no sense whatsoever so I don't even know where to begin with that. But where on earth have you got this idea that GBS get a free pass? They're pretty much universally despised by WH fans. You don't remember a couple of years ago where they all had to be snuck out of the ground cos an angry mob of nawty geezers tried to basically storm the VIP box?

From around 2007 onwards, Mike Ashley has been getting a lot of abuse even when at times he hasn't done anything wrong

Him and his "cockney gang" were getting abuse from the press meanwhile gold and Sullivan only had the fans turn on them after OS fiasco but they pretty much fucked the club for years and got away with it. Even now, you will hear most of the press not give GSB that much abuse as compared to Ashley despite the fact, if they get relegated they are FUCKED
