Klopp steps down and has a couple of years out. Could he replace Pep when the time comes?
I think he has said he will never manage another club in England. I'd say a year out then he will be looking at Madrid, Bayern or the German national team.

Great, Liverpool love in the rest of the season then!
No different from any other season then.

Seriously though, no matter how right they handle the next appointment, Klopp is a huge figure to replace, and the EPL is so competitive now that it will be very difficult for Alonso or any other manager to hit the ground running. Add to that that often when a squad know a manager is leaving their levels drop. We’ve seen in the past that if a Klopp team’s levels drop just a little, it can be spiral very quickly.

Probably to extra motivate the players/crowd to win the title this season.

Sometimes it goes the other way though doesn’t it? Players end up less motivated and the manager loses some authority because everyone knows he won’t be around much longer.

I'd be stunned if Klopp wasn't in charge at Bayern next season.
I would. He seems like a loyal guy, I don't see him going to Dortmund's rivals Bayern in the same way I don't see him coming back to the PL to manage United or City.

Maybe he'll go for a new challenge in Spain, or if he wants to recharge his energy levels he could take the Germany NT job with less of the day-to-day that goes with club management.

I doubt it. They will all want to 'go out with a bang' and the atmosphere at home games will be raised a few notches.

Sporting Director going after Jan as well. Huge turnover behind the scenes then.

I think he’ll probably take the year off. He’s doing this to head off burn out, I’d be surprised if he jumped straight back in at another big club. 12 months with his trotters up somewhere and then he comes back at Real, Barca or one of the Italian giants.

The most pressing question - is klopp only a skeleton under the tracksuit. Look at those ankles.

What players will follow him out of the exit door ?

Not necessarily going with him but it might considerably break up the team there rn.

This could go quite badly for them as it sounds like they're going to be a little bit rudderless. The next guy coming in is going to have big boots to fill and that might work against them.

Alonso does make the most sense, but this might kick Real Madrid in to action if they have any ambitions of bringing him in (that is if Ancelotti is leaving).

Klopp is genuinely the only coach that has gone toe to toe with Pep regularly too. We don't like Liverpool, but winning the league in front of those dirty, doped up, oasis loving c***s cannot be understated.

Ancelotti has only just signed a new deal so would be odd if they just suddenly binned him off.
