Not won a lot? Blimey you must have high standards.
I mean he's not wrong...

Eight seasons and (domestically) he's won
  • 1 Prem title,
  • 1 FA cup (0-0 draw winning on pens)
  • 1 Lge cup (0-0 draw winning on pens)

Compared to the reputation he has you'd expect it to have been more

Guess some have blacked out the UCL he won v us in the final. Hate him as much as you like, he is the one who consistently ran City close every year (last season aside). Never been a fan of him, but can't ignore what he has done at Liverpool in his time there. We put Poch in high regard who won nothing, Klopp for them is on a higher pedestal and rightly so.

I think he’s probably going before he burns out again. Isn’t that what happened at Dortmund and why things went a bit sour there.

Seems a good decision to me. Professionally and personally.
There were murmurs he was thinking about going shortly after they won the league but I reckon he felt he couldn't leave Liverpool where they were and decided to get the level up again.

With them having a good chance of winning something this year, and having a new team built, he probably feels that he is leaving them in good shape.

Also, it has been a momumental effort to get them back competing again and again yet still limited opportunities to win titles cause of City.

I must say, I never really liked the guy but he was good for the PL.

2 redbulls and a few months later, he is the BM manager……..he did admire both Kane and Dier 🤫

Interesting who they get, Liverpool are still Liverpool at the end of the day but like united after Fergie would it be wise to follow Klopp, could see Salah leaving, VVD is getting older. Still a good team but think Klopp is getting the maximum out of most.

Top coach. Added some much needed character and personality to the league.

Obviously looking after himself before burn out. Although I doubt we've seen the last. German head coach I'd imagine at some point. (Cheeky bid from england....? Joke!!! Actually .....?)

I didn't mind him personally. Some silly comments over the years but he's hardly the worst.

He’s won every major trophy during a time when Man City have been arguably the greatest team in Premier League history. If it weren’t for Man City’s dominance, Liverpool would have won at least one or two more titles over the last few years.

There’s also a good chance he’ll add another League cup this year. Plus he’s won a Champions League and has another shot at the title this year.

For seven or eight seasons, that’s not bad going, especially as Liverpool were hardly dominating the league when he arrived.

Really? If a managed had achieved what he achieved for us he'd be a walking messiah. A bit more like the Champions league, Super Cup, Club World Cup, that you conveniently left off the list?

Away from football I think he’s a fine human being, and he’s an excellent manager. Sure he can be a twat sometimes but so can almost every top manager in history. The league will miss him.

I thought he looked absolutely spent last season - there was weight loss and a more gaunt aspect to him - so I completely believe the sheer exhaustion of it all being too much, and going again and again, especially on the back of Pep winning everything last season, means there’s nowhere left to go that hasn’t been done. So I think it all so sort of comes together…

He was unfortunate not to win a couple more PL titles in his time due to City dominance.

Would nevertheless be quite funny if he ends up with the same number of PL titles as Ranieri though.

I was actually surprised that it was as few as that. Of course he'd be a Messiah at Spurs if he'd won that but considering the team he had I certainly thought he'd have mopped up a few more FA and League Cups.
Anyway, I'm having great fun messaging that Arabian Stevie G pic to Pool supporting friends telling them they're in safe hands.

Klopp to Real Madrid would be dynamite. I could also see Pep returning to Barca in the coming years to renew their rivalry. That would be the best possible thing that could happen to La Liga. Also opens up the competitiveness of the Prem. Make it happen, football gods.

Realistically you can't do too much more than that. He inherited a pretty poor side and was up against City and Chelsea's billions. He transformed the squad with some incredible signings and implemented one of the most attacking systems we've seen. But more than that he kept them regularly competitive even when they didn't win- something Ange has talked about as being his biggest goal. We didn't win one trophy under Poch. Sure he could have added one or two more cups but there are other good sides also trying to do the same thing remember! He's done a superb job, and as much as I hate them at least we've had another team trying to play the right way for a few years.
