haha, you must hate them bad. they've lost one game in the league, are probably going to get a record number of points and not win the thing and you want them to be accused of bottling it.

Just because we were.

You'd rip the piss out of anyone being that silly.

And that 1 game, like the CL final and Europa final is the game they couldn't afford to lose, had they drawn it they would be in the driving seat, they had a 9 point lead at Christmas and blew it. If they don't win it, they will have been the only team in PL history to have been leading at Christmas and not win the title and this would be the 3rd time it's happened.

My mistake, it's since 2004/2005 not PL history

Spin it how you like, with their league record, the idea that they have bottled anything is ridiculous IMO

Don't think they've bottled it but I'm going to tell every single Liverpool fan I know that they did anyway. It's funny
If we were ahead by 7 points with the same number of games played as the team in 2nd, only to lose the title, I'd 100% believe we'd bottled it.

I don't dispute that they've been fantastic and their current run is superb (if lucky in places), but the fact remains that they could and should have won the league after being so far in front.

Liverpool move into the new year seven points ahead at the top of the table and no team in Premier League history has been so far clear on New Year's Day and not gone on to win the title.

Twice teams have been five points in front and finished second, but that is the biggest lead that has slipped at this stage.

We went on a similar run at the end of the season we chased down Chelsea, 13 wins from 14 or something mad. But we bottled it according to that bitch on Sky and numerous media outlets. Despite never leading. Ever. So I get your point. However we didn't take it to the last day, I think it finished with 3 games to go? But we didn't bottle anything either. West Ham played like they always do against us with the added incentive of stopping our charge.

To be fair to Liverpool(ugh need to wash my mouth out) they've kept pace with a points winning machine. 195 points over the past 2 seasons is what City have won. Probably 198 by the time Sunday 5pm rolls around.

Yes, we didn't run the chavs as close as pool have, but our points totally for that season would have been enough to win the PL the season Leciester did and a few other times over the years.

If Liverpool end up 2nd, that should be so devastating. To get 95+ points and end up losing the title, will be soul crunching. They should have a helpless feeling and sense of when they will ever win.

If above does happen, what a beautiful summer this would be, bantering Liverpool fans.:sneaky:(y)

The only fact in there is they 'could' have won the league. There's no should about it, there was too far to go. Lose a seven point lead with a few games to go? Yeah, bottling it but with the thick end of 20 games left? How desperate do you need to be to throw that at them?

They've had a superb season, losing only one game, they've won literally week after week to keep pace with City who themselves have been absolutely magnificent and to write City's title off as won due to Liverpool bottling it really is silly.

Bottling it is Arsenal not getting top 4. Its not losing one game in the league at Christmas or whenever it was :D

Okay, let's keep the laughs going. Here's BT Sport...

Cool and all, he's been good this season, but they lost 3-0. Are viewers meant to celebrate the possibility they didn't lose 5-0?

Wow, just been on Red And White Kop. What an experience! Mind blowing.

First, there's the heading that greets you, some hilariously pretentious statement 'We Doth Walked Up Thee Hill In Our Way' or something.

Then there's the delusion and the entitlement in the posts. You've got to read them. Mind boggling levels of whopperness.

It is a fact that no team has ever let slip a 7 point lead at the turn of the year.

'Should' implies a high chance of probability. To suggest they should have won the league is hardly desperate.
