I honestly think our approach for Gallagher was just a wind up to try and stretch chelsea's position further.
I fully expect Levy to be sat on 30th June with a grin like a Cheshire cat looking at his mobile vibrating like Mia Khalifa's cabin bag with 172 missed calls from "chavs up King's Road"....and I hope to hell he doesn't answer it! :cautious: :shifty:

In a way Chelsea have been remarkably consistent over the last 18 months

Wow that’s a damning statistic.

Still, Chelsea are on course to hit 51 point this season, compared to 44 last year.

51 would have been enough to clinch 11th place from Crystal Palace last year.

Why are they angry at Poch not the idiot who spent a billion on players?

I'd say I feel a bit sorry for him but he should have never taken the job in the first place, even if he was desperate to move back to England. Not just because of the rivalry but because he's a project manager at a club whose fanbase (and spending) demands immediate results regardless of what they say.

Really hope Chelsea get the book thrown at them, they absolutely deserve it.

I like Poch, but his press conferences are painful and full of waffle. I suspect based on this, he struggles to get any clear message across to his players.

But he must have been an effective communicator at one stage otherwise there’s no way he achieves the kind of results he got at Southampton or with ourselves.

I think Poch’s main problem in recent years has been joining two clubs which are absolute soap operas. No wondering he’s waffling, being head coach of Chelsea right now is like being ringmaster of the circus.

From day 1 with them he hasn’t looked like the old Poch

We had something special with him.

Shame Levy didn’t trust him enough to start putting some lovely furniture in the new house

Some times a manager is the right man, at the right club, at the right time - that’s what we had with him for a while, and we were a hairs breath away from achieving something special.

I will always maintain that had we equalised in Madrid we would have gone on to win it - then Poch would have been been up there in Bill Nick territory.……..but we’ll never know !

not just hindsight, but I always felt both PSG and Chelsea were never the kind of clubs in which he could have achieved things - totally the wrong feel, plus his association with us and his barely disguised remaining affection for us, meant he has no credit in the bank with their fans

I wonder with Poch whether his style of management and communication is just better suited to working with a smaller squad. I also wonder whether we all underestimated the value of Lloris or one or two other players as an intermediary to help get his ideas across to other players.

With the way Chelsea are currently run in terms of recruitment I don’t think any manager will thrive. It just seems a bit chaotic.

Feels like since he released the book.
Just feels like he started to believe his own hype before getting crushed by the cynical nature of global football @ PSG / Chelsea.

Rarely see that natural smile he constantly had with us but that's probably as I'm not exposed to all the lovey-dovey internal club stuff

He hasn't been the same Poch since just before the CL final
Since Dembele left. Our form in the league was falling off a cliff 2nd half of 18/19 season and carried on until he was sacked. Dembele leaving also coincided with Eriksen and Dele form taking a turn for the worse. The CL run really papered over those cracks and if it wasn't for the scum being absolute legends we would have been playing in the Europa League the following season.

So good to see them finally revert back to mid-table obscurity.

Even if it did take for them to go from a Russian Oligarch to a US billionaire who has tried to cheat the system and spent half a billion pounds to try and get them to compete makes it even sweeter.

Used to hate Chelsea then I just saw them as plastic and insignificant, now they're also a laughing stock to boot.

I am still a little too worried to go too early and call them that. I mean, they are traditionally but I a still waiting for them to get let-off/find a way out.

Annoyingly though, they could still end up with two trophies this season.

Even when it appears all doom and gloom for these lot, they find a way to win a trophy and suddenly it sparks them back into life.
