Leicester City are set to pursue the signing of Harry Winks this summer

Leicester City are set to move for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Harry Winks. According to The Telegraph, the 27-year-old has emerged as a transfer target for new Foxes manager Enzo Maresca.

The deal is thought to be completely separate to Spurs’ pursuit of Leicester’s James Maddison.

I wouldn't necessarily expect them to pay anything for him if it smoothes the deal for Maddison. It solves a problem for us pretty cheaply and we've been told we will be ruthless with departures. This could get the ball rolling since it sounds like they actively want him.

If it’s his best option and there’s not much of a salary cut he might. He must know he has no future at Spurs.

Perhaps a drop to the Championship would help Harry kickstart his career again. There doesn't seem to be much interest from the Prem clubs and he's been available for a couple of windows. He's one of our own and it would be good to see him playing again and enjoying his game.

If interest in him is low (as seems to be the case), he might prefer being a key player for a second-tier English club over being a bench warmer for a top-flight team abroad.

Maybe not but it would be at a club pushing for promotion and he will arguably play regularly than if he were at a mid- low premier league team battling relegation

Can’t say i’m a fan of the negative comments towards a lad whos been here for 21 years and is Spurs from the stands at White Hart Lane, and if he slagged us off it only reinforces he’s actually a fan as i haven’t met one yet who hasn’t.
