The players have their shit together, the problem is that a lot of them simply isn't good enough. The fact that we sacked both Pochettino and Mourinho and yet people still somehow think these players will magically start performing with yet another manager is so frustrating to me.

The fact that Levy is one of these people is the biggest problem.

I’m so fucking sick of seeing this group of players not turn up in the most important matches. Over and over and over again they’re just been completely fucking lifeless when it matters most. Mason set them up to fail today but that doesn’t excuse the lack of urgency.

Cannot fucking stand them any longer. We need a genuine clearout of the squad players. No more keeping players around the squad for years past their sell-by date because no club will meet Levy’s completely unrealistic valuations. Get them out for what the market will bear and replace them with bright young talents. And if the recruitment setup can’t identify young talents, get a new fucking recruitment setup. Enough is enough.

Lloris
Tanganga
Rodon
Toby
Reguilon
Sessegnon
Skipp
PEH
Lo Celso
Bale (another year loan why not)
Kane
Son

Literally the only players i'd have in squad next season right now. All opinions but the fact I can only pick 12 for a squad is shocking.

I honestly will never understand this forum consistently giving Lo Celso the benefit of the doubt where as Ndombele needs to be sold.

Did anyone see Sonny sprinting around to close down the Leeds players in the last 5 mins? Not picking out Sonny, but where was that for 85mins from the whole team?

You're having a bubble.

He's literally everything you've said he's not. We do not have a more complete midfielder in our squad.

The lad does it all.

I’m not doubting his engine or work-rate but he’s not that quick. That’s just a fact.

Yet again Gareth proves that he can’t perform against a good team. When he plays the right back is targetted and ends up being outnumbered ...see Doherty v Arsenal.

Issue here is that you are picking 2/12 who you have no idea if will work out next season, 2/12 who might not be ready for key roles, at least 1/12 who won’t be here and 1/12 who at least I find hugely overrated. So half your squad, it seems to me, are blu sky thinking.

I don’t know how Dier manages to hoodwink every new manager, they eventually realise he’s a disaster and drop him. Then the new guy comes in and he’s back!! He’s like an unflushable turd!!

I don't think it needs overanalysing really. We're a team winging it at the moment for these final games - no proper manager, decided to go back to attempting to press high and attack, but we're without the basics, the detail, work rate, standards, and really players (especially up top to press) to carry it out optimally and that is always hanging over us.

So we just about blustered through against a plummeting Southampton team, managed it even better against the leagues biggest pile of excrement, but today we faced a properly drilled team with a proper manager and winging it got found out. They pressed better than us, ran better and more intelligently than us, passed and moved in harmony with clever interlinking and build up, and showed it for what it was. A functioning team versus a collection of players, some with a future but some not, who are in limbo, directionless, and waiting for someone to come in and point it in the right direction.

No offence but anyone who thought we were just going to pull it all together and bosh out 6 straight league wins and started to hope/expect anything was setting themselves up for a massive fall, pretty delusional really.

We need a tough new coach that will kick the sh*t out of the players who will still be here next season.
I agree but that’s what Mourinho was trying to do and sadly player power won and Levy sacked Mourinho rather than getting rid of underperforming players
