Apparently they've offered 700m euro wages for one year and then he can join madrid on a free which is his intention anyway. So either sit on bench at psg or take 700m euros for a year in Saudi
I'm assuming 700m (almost 2m per day!) is either a typo or completely fictitious (or perhaps both). It would be multiple times what the next highest paid player earns and more than the rest of the top 10 paid players earn combined.

Frankfurt might be willing to take slightly less from a non German club
In our position swapping out Kane on a years contract for Muani on a new 5 year deal for no net spend might be worth it. For Bayern I can see why they would rather have the sure fire Kane.

Loan to spurs for probably 10 odd million and probably pay a chunk of his wages or sell to Saudi for 300 million .... Which would they pick?! :cautious:

Mbappe may not want to move to the Saudi Grandad league though and if he doesn't they can't do anything about it.

The 700m reasons to go will no doubt turn his head though even if it would be detrimental to his long term career.

A favour returned since we loaned PSG Osvaldo Ardiles in the aftermath of the conflict in the South Atlantic with Argentina.

🤣 Loving this thread. Some actual LOL moments.

[Here's where I need to bring it back on track by saying that we are one of the richest clubs and Levy should stop nickel and diming it and just pay the going rate. If he genuinely cared about the club and finding the right replacement for Kane he would just pay up. (I'll then return regularly to complain there's no way Kilian will integrate in time for the start of the season. Also, that Kane has been a clear issue for ages now so how was this deal not lined up, ready to go when the window opened?) The only worry is that my post would lack authenticity as I've actually heard of Mbappe and I'm not investing my entire emotional stability in a player I've only seen via 4 YouTube clips since first hearing of him last week... Luckily, he does play in a different league so at least there's a shred of ambiguity about whether he'd actually suit the PL.]

From a purely Spurs perspective this could help with the Kane situation. I could see PSG putting in a serious bid for Kane if this goes through. Not suggesting he'd want to go there, but it could set a "proper" benchmark for other interested clubs.

$1bn all in to sign a player for 1 year is absolutely mind boggling.
Although in a world where money is limitless, I guess the numbers are meaningless.
Shame they don’t want Kane or NDombele.
