Harry Kane has weakened his chances of leaving Tottenham this summer by annoying the club's billionaire owner Joe Lewis in the way he's gone about trying to get a move to Manchester City.

From what I see. Kane has been refreshingly honest, not just this season, but for the last few seasons in expressing his desire to win trophies. We can't offer that. Prehaps if Mr f****** billions would invest in the club, players like Kane wouldn't want to leave. And from where I'm standing, there's been zero disruption from him compared to previous 'stars': Berba, Bale, Modric etc.

I think thats a little pro Harry, 3 finals where he simply didnt show up. Ok "he didn't get service", IF he is a world class player, they can win you a game on their own, so far hasn't happened.

Not true. Kane has played in at least 3 cup finals for us, including the champions League final. So to now say that the club does not offer him chances to win a trophy is pure garbage. He and the players needed to seize the moment but they did not. So do not put down the club, leave that to the media.

If he wants to win silverware he needs to play better in finals or in the case of the Champions League Final to realise that he’s not fit to start and he’d have a winner’s medal if he came on as sub.

Fixed.

The excuse of "needing to play with better players" is an insult to the rest of the team who have more than once got to a final to see Harry turn up half fit and do absolutely nothing of merit in them.

Exactly! We got the semi finals of the CL with out Kane and due to Son and Lucas's industry, we got the best of Man City and Ajax, and then to imply now that they are not good enough to play with Kane?

This is a massive misconception and it's starting to irritate me because he didn't say that, he said that he'd remain at the club if it was progressing in the right direction and if we are competitive.

That was in May 2020 and since then we've gone backwards even more not to mention the one chance we had to win a trophy we sacked a manager specialised in winning trophies 6 days before the final, is there any wonder why he feels disillusioned?

Man City have many more World Class players than we have but they haven't won the CL for them yet. So if a team of class players can't do it how can Kane do it on his own? Keep blaming Kane for our failures sounds a bit like sour grapes on him wanting to better himself.

I think "3 cup finals" understates how close we've been to a trophies during Kane's. We've come up slightly short on 8 occasions in the last 7 years (3 finals, 3 semi-finals, Premier League runners-up and the infamous season we were in the running but finished 3rd).

2021 - League Cup runners-up
2020 - the only season with Kane where we didn't challenge for silverware
2019 - Champions League runners-up & League Cup semi-finalists
2018 - FA Cup semi-finalists (& 3rd place in PL, but never in the race)
2017 - Premier League runners-up & FA Cup semi-finalists
2016 - 3rd in Premier League, missing out on our best chance at the title
2015 - League Cup runners-up

Finally, confirmation that Joe has some feelings about Spurs. Or at least Kane.

There's been stuff before where he's been supposedly involved (highest profile being that he apparently favoured Poch over FdB). Problem with JL and our other board members is, unlikely many many other PL clubs, they are very private and don't speak in public barely ever. That leads to the lack of public interest translating to an absence of interest, when we don't really know if he is interested or not.
