I know it's not a very populr view, but I quite like Downing. I think he's played quite well. Better than Lampshade & Barry anyway.
Shame Giggs isn't out there really. That would be a good game.

I dunno. This is certainly a better team than the one that limped through the World Cup. Sadly I think it'll look like a much better team when Wilshere is in the midfield instead of Lampard.
Problem is I expect Capello to revert to Gerrard and Lampard when it comes to the actual tournament.

Bale just can't get into the game from the right. He had one decent moment where he took the piss out of 3 players but he's isolated out there, play him from the left and let him beat Smalling.

Doubt it'll make a difference considering Ramsey is the only other player in their team remotely on his level.
A very odd decision from Speed to put him on his weaker side against the better fullback though.

Just isn't looking comfortable down the right. Got past him man a few times but crossing seems a bit hit and miss. Dont mind Downing, but think he is better on the left

Well, that's what I'm interested in. I haven't really cared much for England for awhile. The last game I truly enjoyed was the 5-1 vs Croatia when Lennon was awesome.
