Hi Guys first ever post / thread for myself so i thought i would just put together a team of players that shows how far we have really cme in the last 4 years with BMJ and know Mr Ramos

Frode Grodas

David Kerslake John Scales Kevin Scott Paola Tramezzani

Gez Mcmahon Jason Dozzell Milenko Acimovic Willem Korsten

Andy Booth Heldar Postiga

Just some light hearted fun, but been interesting reading threads about certain players, and if they are fit for the shirt (KPB) but when you look at this sorry lot over the last 15 years it shows how far we have come and how well this club has been managed in the last 5 years IMO, we should all be very proud of what is starting to be achieved at the lane and with Juande at the helm i really do think that great great times are ahead.

Welcome Yid.

Acimovic is quite good now I hear. Not even sure where he's playing though.

Re - Acimovic

He is a playmaker who has a great passing range and an abundance of skill. In the summer of 2002, he joined Tottenham Hotspur. In his first season in London, he made some appearances, but he never started in the first eleven. In his second season, he was mostly warming up the bench.
In January 2004, Lille offered him a contract, which he accepted. His first appearances for Lille were very good and soon he was playing the first eleven. He also played in UEFA Cup. Lille were eliminated in the round of 16. At the end of the season his club was second in the league. They played in qualification round for Champions League, and successfully qualified. Mile wasn't playing a lot, but he scored against Manchester United, where he also started in the first eleven. Lille won that game 1-0. He scored Lille's only goal of the campaign.
After playing for Lille in France for 2½ seasons, he joined Al Ittihad for the 2006-07 season. He agreed on a mutual termination of the contract, subsequently moving to Vienna.
He debuted for the Slovenia national team on 22 April 1998 in Murska Sobota against the Czech Republic. He represented Slovenia at both Euro 2000 and World Cup 2002, scoring in their 1-3 defeat to Paraguay in Seogwipo. His final appearance for the national side came on 28 March 2007 in Celje, during a 1-0 home defeat to the Netherlands in a Euro 2008 qualification match. He announced his retirement from international football that August.[1]

I actually always thought he could have been good, but when you turn up at a new club and the manager is saying you are the new Trevor Brooking what hope have you got.

Yeah Acimovic and Postiga are actually both good players who for whatever reason didn't cut it here. I still loved Postiga though. Even if it was only for the songs.

korsten could of been brilliant, but he fucked his knee (i think) up pretty badly and had to retire,

it would be intresting to see what someone like ramos could do with postiga

The Fulham game mate.

Was harder to miss. Literally a yard out and put it over the bar.

Useless bastard. :bang:

Scored against United a few years back in the Champions League. Good ol' Milenko.

It's a total mystery to me how Postiga not only escaped the derision and abuse Rasiak got, but also remained (and apparently remains) highly popular with many fans.

Thanks a bunch for this thread, Juande. I'd succeeded in wiping the likes of Scott, Kerslake and McMahon from my memory. Now I've got to do it all over again.
