Looks like Van Marwijk wants these 4 to never play for Holland again.

Rafa only 29 and on 99 caps also, harsh

Sooner Van Marwijk leaves the better

Holland showed England boss Hodgson the way to freshen up a squad by last night ditching Rafa van der Vaart, Dirk Kuyt and Johnny Heitinga from international football.

A leaked document from the Dutch FA revealed the shock news that the three Premier League stars had been banished by boss Bert van Maarwijk.

Striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, who scored 12 goals in qualifying, has also been dumped according to Van Maarwijk’s post-tournament report following a disastrous Euro 2012 campaign.

The 2010 World Cup finalists crashed out after failing to get a point in Group B, sparking an angry reaction back home.

Van Maarwijk’s job is safe having signed a four-year deal just before the Euros.

But this leak has sparked yet more controversy, especially as Tottenham star Van der Vaart has 99 caps and will be denied the honour of making a century of international appearances.

What did Rafa do wrong? There's better candidates for the boot from the Dutch squad than him. Van Marwijk is a cock.

Bit harsh. I would be interested in deslina's opinion as they are cued into this.

One thing that seems to be part of the fabric of Dutch football, is that players are allowed to have a say. It's what we sometimes use to beat them with because we consider it rifts or fights. But that's a black/white (no racist overtone meant) interpretation. But its just the way the game has developed there. There is no such thing as un-opinionated dutch player. They are groomed to have them. So using it to take a pot shot at Rafa and possibly these other 3 players is just a deflection technique by their hack coach. At least that's what I think.

Sheeesh.

Yeah, ditch the guy who scored 50% of all your goals at the Euros! At least pick him in a friendly, give him his 100th and then decide to not use him, but this?! Totally smacks of the manager deflecting.

spoke out about the manager

You say that but Van Der Kraan was saying that most of the Holland squad all spoke out against Van Maarwijk before except VDV and then he spoke out like the rest of the team(literally all of them)

It seems Robben has also spoken out loads of times but it seems this has been overlooked

Out-perform the coach's son-in-law. Is Van Marwijk not getting the sack, then?

I would have thought the dutch fans will see through using Rafa as a scapegoat, it's impossible not to like the guy.

Apparently the two favourites for Van Maarwijk are Koeman and McLaren

Just imagine if McLaren knocks England out in the WC

Van Der Kraan said both coaches have a large amount of respect in Holland

Also huntelaar and Van Bommel had a fight, how bad is unknown atm, there was also a mole in the dressing room giving out detailed reports to the dutch press and Bouma apparently punched the team doctor though he denied it

He will get his 100th cap. Even if it is in four years when that twat goes. Rafa will still be class at 33.

I'd love to see Martin Jol as Dutch manager.
