Posting it here as well: "Getting those clicks, earning tons of money making up a rumor that both United and Spurs fans will read."

My United colleague has talked to me about links he's read about Maguire to Spurs since xmas. Been all from 60m to 15m, I assume now it's free?
Only way it had made sense is the same role as Dier; a meathead in the middle of a back three. How would Maguire cope with high press and room behind? Just like John Terry started to look like a clown when AVB tried the same with him.

I highly doubt it's someone the new manger wants.

Screams to me that it's more of a club signing.

He also mentions links to Guehi. Think there will be a number of names linked. Already from articles/ITK we've seen Laporte, Ndicka, Maguire, Guehi. I've seen lesser links to Galatasary's Victor Nelsson and Roma's Ibanez, so buckle up - summer window links are here 😂 😂

Personally, if it were me I'd throw everything at Guehi & Tomori and tell them and Cuti to battle it out for time.. Two homegrown options that can play a high line and have potential for us to be sorted for a number of years. I understand you probably need some more experience in there, but just my punt. Keep Tanganga/Rodon as your 4th option and see if they develop another year or else sell then.

Absolutely no chance Ange would want him. The complete opposite of what he needs at the back. Can't run, will get destroyed in a high line and in wider areas 1 on 1.

Would be an absolute disaster signing.

Guehi incredibly underwhelming too.

It's really not hard Spurs. Laporte, Inacio, Tapsoba, Schlotterbeck. Can't go wrong with any of these.

Don't think Schlotterbeck is going anywhere. Started basically every game for Dortmund until he got hurt the last ~6 games of the season.

Yes, Schlotterbeck won't move. He does not seem like a money first guy and tbf right now Dortmund is more attractive than our mess.

Could someone put Ange in touch with my agent please. I'm 68 with a hip replacement coming up so I'm probably marginally quicker than Maguire. I don't start fights with Greek police officers, either.

He's actually quite a good defender and gets far more stick than he deserves but we desperately need a centre back with pace and he definitely doesn't have that. He's also 30 years old and the implication is that we're going to be returning to targeting younger players again.

even contemplating signing him should be a sackable offence. I refuse to believe any validity in this, even if they pay us to take him.

Disagree regarding Guehi. But that might be because I work next to a Palace season ticket holder who adores him.
