I haven't had much interest in international teams for a while. Have USA dropped off that much?
Yeah I think the manager is clueless. Just do not have faith in his setup despite the talent we have. But they play the games so we’ll see.

This is the one group I can’t predict, any team can go through though USA would be least likely

This is the patriot group, every team will playing with that something extra that you can’t define

USA less likely than Iran? Lol I don't think the US is that good but what are you talking about?

Better manager, experienced team that wont concede many, have that motivation factor and finally have 2 in form strikers

It's a good group for England to get into the mood for a run into the latter stages. I'm not overly interested in this world cup, and not really interested in England success at all. But I would like Harry Kane to make a move for worldy recognition that I think his dedication and performance might deserve. Despite the somewhat mixed bag of a season for Spurs so far, his numbers have been top class yet again.

This is a good group for England to really get stuck in and rack up some convincing wins. Kane should be pushing for the golden boot from the off. England should be be looking for convincing wins that build confidence and wariness in future opponents. Southgate will never let the handbrake off, but this side should be able to dominate this group regardless. If they only squeak through this relatively soft group, they'll be out the following round I reckon.

Well no doubt the Iranians will be up for this, playing as they are in the same group as 'Great Satan' and 'Little Satan'

If we get a fast start v Iran and an early goal or two it will set us up for the rest of the group.

Think England v Wales will be the top decided at the end of it as I can see both on 6 points from the first two games.

Another utter **** who's only at the world cup due to Grandparents. Giving it the biggun and comparing himself to Zlatan.

My missus is Welsh so I'm generally quite accepting of them, but I'm struggling to pick a favourite from USA, Iran and Wales to go through.

It's looking like the one love armband England, Wales and a few other teams wanted to wear have been banned. Players could be booked as soon as the game kicks off.

I can't find an article, just lots of talk on twitter

Fuck them then. Wear it, wear it proud and to hell with the circumstances.
Just shows this whole thing up for the farce that it is.

Lol at the Zlatan comparisons. What makes Ibra unique is his stunning technical ability combined with his physicality, creating a devastating combination. Moore is just like any other big footballer, using his size to be effective with little to no other abilities.

Jog on fella, watch that overhead bicycle kick from 30yds against England and tell us you are fit to clean his boots let alone lace them.

Well if the Torygraph is right it looks like we're going 4-4-2 or 4-1-3-2 against Iran with Slabhead partnering Stones.

Sure, we'll get away with it tomorrow. Just wait until we play the tougher teams when we'll need to employ 2 or 3 DMs in front of those two (three if Southgate brings in Dier and reverts to three at the back).

Harder group than some might think. I think Iran will come second personally. We're impressive in qualifying, have a world class in form striker and a good defensive set up. They are also playing close to home.

Ability wise USA should go into the last 16 but they are less than the sum of their parts I think they might struggle.

Wales are on paper far and away the worst team in the group, but they have that togetherness and always play without pressure that might help them.
