Remember buying this as a kid and watching it loads of times. Surprised it only has 91 views.
Sometimes with videos the length of them puts would be viewers off...I watched it...fascinating and so many memories.

Ditchburn must have been a heck of a player to keep Jennings out of the team.i watched that, think he picked Ditchburn over Pat
My dad has that on VHS. I watched it loads of times when I was a kid. What changes would El Tel make to his team if he did it again now, I wonder.
It's funny because Bale is probably the best player most of us have seen play for Spurs (it was Messi, Ronaldo and Bale that last season) but would anyone want to replace Cliff Jones with him? Would it be romanticism over reality to keep Jones in? Has Kane (or Keane) surpassed Chivers (where was Gilzean, Terry?!)?Bale, modric, king, kane and campbell (ducks). Might have a shout. But it is not just a question of ability but also achievements with the club, longevity also.

We had a midfielder/inside right that my Father used to say was one of the best he had ever seen...and God knows he'd watched a few. He was known as The Ghost and tragically killed by lightning in 1964 at the age of just 27.......John White.

I was only 9 when he died but if half of what my Dad said was true then he deserves his place as one of the greatest.
Thank you for that...I remember his son Rob (who was just six months old when John died) being interviewed and telling the story of a man he met once in a pub. They got talking and the guy suddenly realised who Rob was. He told him how John had been his idol at White Hart Lane and he was one of the best footballers to ever grace a pitch. A few more beers and the conversation turned to working professions....when Rob asked the guy he went very quiet. "I was dreading you asking me that question" he said...."I sell lightning conductors"
Apparently Rob smiled and they both laughed at what could have been a most embarassing moment. Lovely tale....
